    I feel like I am covered by the Double Taxation rules, but who can be sure in Thailand? As a US citizen, I definitely have to pay taxes on my retirement income, but I see how casually certain laws are treated, and I wonder about my chances of escaping paying taxes here. I'm willing to move to Cambodia if they continue this unfair treatment, but there is no way to process what is going through their minds here.

    You can never insult the USA enough if you are a UK or European citizen. This forum needs tough rules about denigrating citizens of other countries. You don't want any "bad language" but defamation of the United States and its citizens is quite okay.

    I should be laughing but I care a bit too much. Just the prospect of Trump gaining another term is chilling but the USA has survived much worse. There are worse things than having a mentally ill Chief Executive. Once he's gone he will retire to Venezuela and we will be rid of him forever. There's still the matter of his cult continuing to vote in elections. Jail for all of them.

    I have not paid the fine. I had planned to return on the 29th but my girlfriend talked to my agent and she says her son can do the reports for no fee. Henceforth, I will file my reports early with the son, who knows how to get things done. I use the Jomtien Immigration office. My agent is also my landlady.

    Should Saturday and Sunday even be included in the "grace period" since they are not open on those days? This situation is infuriating, but my agent says to bring the documents to her son and he will do my 90-day reports.

    I attempted to do my 90 Day report at Jomtien today (August 28). It was due on Friday, August 23. I was previously told there was a grace period but the lady at the counter wanted a 2000 baht fine for late reporting. Is the grace period no longer observed? I tried to file online on Friday but my report was rejected with no reason given. Any ideas? I know there's no way out of the fine but I need to know for future reference.

    By Thai reckoning, ALL criticism of Thai people is "unfair". They see themselves as above all criticism. They need to learn to bend the knee to the professional conquerors of the West. They had to buy us off to remain unconquered or else they would be a modern Monarchy in the mold of the UK.
