Wouldn't the answers be the same as your last thread in September? https://aseannow.com/topic/1306638-getting-into-thailand/?do=findComment&comment=18348835

Health Insurance is now required ?
Pattaya57 replied to Youngagain's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Unfortunately it is forced for non-imm O in Australia. They link to the same approved insurance companies as O-A and O-X and state the following: "A certificate of health insurance issued by Thai insurance companies covering the entire period of stay in Thailand " I emailed the Sydney Consulate twice in August last year explaining the nominated companies don't offer 90 day policies but no response. I emailed again yesterday asking how do I do the insurance but don't expect an answer -
What documents are required at jomtiem ?
Pattaya57 replied to Finspin's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
For 30 day extension at Jomtien you need to complete a TM7 form & attach photo. Cost is 1900 baht. You need copies of: - Passport info page - current entry stamp - TM30 submission (from Hotel) Note: you need to sign each photocopy page and they always ask me to add phone number to TM7 form even though form doesn't ask for it -

And your experience is irrelevant to the OP as he is applying in Australia where they do insist insurance is required for the non O -
Health Insurance is now required ?
Pattaya57 replied to Youngagain's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
So you think a 90 day forced insurance for a non-imm O is a good thing? (that's what this thread is about) It's actually worse than the O-A insurance as I found AXA did a one year O-A policy for cheaper than the Pacific Cross 90 day policy Oh yeah, the approved 90 day policy for Non-imm O has a 120 day waiting period after arrival for anything major 😆 -
Health Insurance is now required ?
Pattaya57 replied to Youngagain's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I was going to get a non-O in Australia but found it almost impossible. They list all of the approved Health Insureres to get the 90 days coverage, however only Pacific Cross offered 90 days and that was for 3.5 million baht coverage instead of only 400k asked for. All the rest were for 1 year to suit the O-A visa. Quote for 90 days was 12,645 for age 41-55 and 17,428 for age 56-65 I went for the 60 day tourist visa with 30 day extension to get the same 90 days. This gives more time to apply for the non-imm O in Thailand and no forced insurance required -
Is only hard copy visa in the airport accepted?
Pattaya57 replied to John8's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
When you go to the Thai e-visa website the first thing you see is a full page pop-up for you to acknowledge that you must print it. "After the e-Visa application has been approved, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to applicants, which must be printed out for presenting to airlines and Thai Immigration Officials when traveling to Thailand." -
Total rip-off. I used to love the full English breakfast there but then they started this scam of selling each item seperate. It doubled the price of the same breakfast I had before
-
For similar traditional English pub to Pig n Whistle try Queen Vic on soi 6. As mentioned Sportsman on Soi 13 and Nickys on Soi Bukhao also good English pubs with great breakfast and Sunday Roasts.

I don't even know what that means. I guess you people that like to pay peanuts to poor girls to get your fantasy is lost on us normal people

Looks pretty similar to me. Surely you're not expecting to find the exact same chair 14 years after you bought your last one?

NON O IMMI Visa Extension And Border Run
Pattaya57 replied to giogio's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No. I found two agents on soi bukhao that offer 3000 for 9 seater (between soi 15 and the market). I'm sure there are many more but a mate recommended I go to Queen Vic and was very glad I paid the extra 700 baht for less people and comfy seat -

You didn't ask a question in your PM? All info is in my trip thread I linked to. After reading that any questions just ask here. -
Stay in Thailand for at least one year
Pattaya57 replied to Jack1988's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Don't worry about the tax. A new rule came in about people earning overseas income while living in Thailand would need to pay tax but no-one knows what it means for retired people. You'd be on tourist visa's not doing 90 day residence reports and not working so no way would you need to file a tax return. As I said earlier no-one has to even submit a tax return if earning <120k baht, not even a Thai citizen (tax starts when assessable income >150k baht) -
NON O IMMI Visa Extension And Border Run
Pattaya57 replied to giogio's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
My border run was a 6 seater van with luxury seats for 3700 baht from Pattaya (you can get 9 seater for 3000 baht). This included the Cambodian visa and coordination at the border to help make it go smoothly -
Stay in Thailand for at least one year
Pattaya57 replied to Jack1988's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes it has, nobody needs to do a tax return if earning <120,000 baht in a calender year. Anyway all this speculation in new tax rule is discussed to death in finance forum -
Stay in Thailand for at least one year
Pattaya57 replied to Jack1988's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Rubbish. You only need to file a tax return if you are resident in Thailand >180 days and earn more than 120,000 baht Thai asessible income -
We'll that was my point, I've been coming and going without a visa. Only one single entry tourist visa in last 2 years for 495 days stay. I also read all the paranoia on here which is the only reason I got my first tourist visa last time, but not sure I needed it as I did a same day visa exempt border run straight after without any issue
-
If you've never had any issues with immigration yet and you have a valid 6 month multi-entry visa that you are entering 5 days before end of validity, why worry? Myself, I did 275 days in 2022 on visa exempt and 225 days in 2023 with visa exempt and one single entry tourist visa. Not had an issue yet but know I must be getting close to more scrutiny. I figure they'll warn me first
