  1. Says someone that's obviously never been to soi 6 ever if that's what they think happens there 😆
  2. If you are earning income in Thailand your tax return for 2024 is not required to be submitted until 31 March 2025, so what do you expect immigration to be asking for in regards 2024 taxable income?
  3. This thread as gone so off topic.... To put it back about pizza in Pattaya you can't go past Bronx Pizza on soi Bukhao Pointed it out to 4 mates in last 6 months, every one of them said it was a great pizza and all went back for more (started on 2 slices for 140 and immediately doubled up)
  4. Interesting that you went to the Pattaya Beer Garden in mid-90's as it only opened around 2010?
  5. Bar maids learn pretty quickly not to bother giving green Look'in coasters to obvious sad gits 😀
  6. Good review except "I think it is expected that you order some food." There is no expectation to order food, but silly if you don't as it's pretty good. The owner of Pattaya Beer Garden was the previous owner of FLB in walking street (FLB = Free Lancer Bar), hence the "Ladies Welcome" sign and Green or Red coasters for singles. Word is he wanted it to be like the Bangkok Beer Garden with freelancers packing the joint but it never took off that way. My guess is the food was way too good so became a serious restaurant on the water instead.
  7. Where in Pattaya is Huai Yang?
  8. What a troll. I own a very nice condo thank you and I saved enough money during my working life that I retired at 52
  9. First off Jomtien is Pattaya and 2nd, when did this site become a how to dating site for non-drinking anti-bargirl types...please don't come to Pattaya if you think every girl in Pattaya is a bar girl 😆
  10. Well first off I'm not on a pension and 2nd I'll send from a 10+ year account that the money has been sitting there untouched
  11. Not true. Thailand tax law says no tax return required if assessable income < 120,000 baht per year. And as I'm only remitting my savings from 10+ years ago, no assessable income so no tax return required

    VISA RUN

Yes, 1st Class Visa Runs from Queen Vic on soi 6. Costs 3700 for very comfortable 6 seater van (most other vans I saw were 9 seater for 3000). Safe driver and excellent crew at Cambodia border to help everything go smoothly (all up took 9 hours there and back)

    VISA RUN

I don't recommend Da Nang in Vietnam. My Mate came to Pattaya to retire and he went to Da Nang just to get a new visa exempt but he got loved up and never came back. Still there nearly 3 months later 😆
  14. Even if they do try to tax savings transfer, which should be negated by double tax agreements, you can still send 150,000 baht as this amount is tax free. People should now start living on 12,500 per month to avoid paying tax, or if you want to live it up you can pay 7500 tax on 300,000 to give you 25k per month 😉
  15. This was my excellent experience
  16. TM30 requires the owners ID and Chanote, or renter can do themselves using their lease. If his Landlord is not the owner and is giving him hassle then he should just do it himself as possessor of the property
  17. I'm not sure as OP states: "My landlord (not the owner), claims she cannot register a TM30 (proof of residency) online because the system doesn't work." If they are not the owner and not an agent then who are they?
  18. OP, writing as a Landlord my real estate agent does the first TM30 for a new renter at a cost of 500 baht to me (I could do myself but rather not have to bother). If the renter then leaves the country and comes back on a new visa, they have a choice of paying the real estate agent 500 baht or do it themselves as a possessor of the property showing their rental lease as proof. As Landlord, I'm not responsible everytime a renter decides to leave the country and that's why immigration allow a renter to do it as current possessor of the property Hope that helps
  19. OP I'm currently on a 150 day continuous stay on tourist visa and visa exempt so I'm glad there is no maximum 90 day in 180 day rule. My Canadian friend also just did 120 days visa exempt in last 6 months, obviously no problem as 90 day rule doesn't exist outside that email
  20. What tax on foreign income? Never heard of it. Oh wait, is this like the other hundred new tax threads with no facts so will be soon be sent to the finance forum where the tax nerds can endlessly debate the no facts part?
  21. I don't understand the purpose of the thread. You didn't get denied entry after being questioned by a very tall supervisor (what the hell that has to do with anything other than you are trying to write a story) and you still didn't get denied after you said you're staying long time because you're loved up with a Thai girl. If they wanted to deny you they would have jumped at the chance once you you said you're not a tourist but loved up instead I'm thinking since there have been numerous new members posting all their difficulties coming to Thailand in the last week (and nothing for last year) they are all asean now staff employed to write as many drama threads as possible because site is for sale and they want to boost member/post count? Just a thought.....
  22. I thought everyone who spends a lot of time in Thailand knew TM6 was still required at land borders? I was very thankful on my recent border run that the agent gave me two blank TM6 to sign and they did the rest 😀
  23. I was trying to correct this post changing METV to SETV but ran out of time. Item (3) should read: (3) travel to neighboring country for at least 3 days and apply for a single-entry tourist visa (SETV). Re-enter Thailand for 60 days + 30 day extension The above plus the first two visa exempts give 7 months. You can then do another visa exempt and SETV (with 30 day extensions) to make 1 year stay At any point you decide you want to retire in Thailand you can stop all the border hopping and apply for a 90 day non-immigration O visa in Thailand which then allows an ongoing 12 month extension of stay
  24. Fastest way is as follows: (1) buy a plane ticket to Thailand and enter visa exempt for 30 days (nothing to apply for). Apply for 30 days extension of stay at local immigration (2) do a same day border run to Laos or Cambodia (depending where you are) and re-enter Thailand on visa exempt for 30 days + 30 day extension (3) travel to neighboring country for at least 3 days and apply for a multi-entry tourist visa (METV). Re-enter Thailand for 60 days + 30 day extension which you can repeat 2 more times to give 8-9 months total on this visa
  25. Yet another first time poster stating they had issues on arrival...serms to be a trend of late 🙄
