If you want real English Bangers 'n Mash you can't beat Nicky's just off Soi Bukhao. They have 3 types, Cumberland sausages, Lincolnshire Swirl and a large yorkshire pudding with everything inside 9

Australia Non Immigrant "O" Visa
Pattaya57 replied to VR333's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Online e-visa applications have always been non-refundable pre-paid applications -
Easy to say in hindsight but what 19-20 year old would ever worry about a shot being given in a bar by a bartender? Sadly in this case a 28 year old British lawyer also took the deadly shots, so seemingly not a concern to a highly educated person? I for one am 59 and have travelled extensively around the World. If I'm offered a shot in a bar that's in party mode I wouldn't have thought twice about it (until this incident highlighted it to the World)

life will go on for most of us 😉

I'm confused. All supermarkets I've been in have a 'real butcher' counter?
-
I know what free range is, just never heard of 'Pasture-raised eggs', or 'Organic eggs' for that matter Anyway, google told me Villa Market has loads of them

Has anyone tried the Bangers 'n Mash at Frasers? I've had some great pub meals there and this looks good
-
I really didnt like the cheap sausages at Cheap Charlies (you get what you pay for but it's the core of the meal). Wombat & Kiwi bar was much better for about 170 baht from memory Venturing into Pattaya I love the Pattaya Beer Garden bangers 'n mash for 195 (great views as well)

I didn't know what Pasture-Raised eggs were so googled it. First two stores listed were well known Villa Market and Tops supermarket
-
Every bangers n mash I've ever had in Pattaya came with a separate gravy bowl. So don't worry about the pic, up to you how much gravy you put on.

Misleading thread title as 90 day reports are definitely accepted in person or online at Jomtien. All people have to do their first 90 day report in person at Jomtien and then you can do 90 day reports online. It's also said that you must do a 90 day report in person again when arriving back from overseas. You can apply up to 15 days in advance of 90 days (online or in person) or within 7 days late (in person only).

New version of Krungsri app.
Pattaya57 replied to PBob's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I just logged in and nothing has changed, works perfectly Sounds like deleting the app and re-installing it triggered a requirement to do the facial recognition again where we all had to visit the bank last year -
Bank Savings Interest Rates 2023

This is just so sad about how easy it was for someone to kill so many from different backgrounds (2 Danish ladies in 20's, a 56 year old American man, 19 year old Aussie girl and 28 year old Brit woman) It hits hard as this could have happened to anybody out and about in a party town. It's just shots poured by a bartender 😞

Bank Savings Interest Rates 2023
Pattaya57 replied to kiko11's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
How did a simple thread about current interest rates in Thai banks turn into a discussion on whether you should use an agent for visa instead of bringing your 800k baht to Thailand? -
Called at the Chonburi Taxation office
Pattaya57 replied to Delight's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Just to add to this, my friend just switched to being non-resident for tax in Australia. When asked for a TIN he just said he's retired and has no income in Thailand so does not need to be a tax resident of Thailand. His 3 Australian banks all accepted no Thailand TIN required -
A third person has been reported as dying from this incident. This one a man from US The US State Department on Thursday confirmed the death of one of its citizens in Vang Vieng, a tourist town where at least 10 people became seriously ill last week from drinking spirits believed to be laced with methanol

Wow, OP has found 30 baht/kilo salad on the street and now a 25 baht tea strainer. Looking forward to the next big expense thread 😉

Bank Savings Interest Rates 2023

Meanwhile, I just renewed my 7 month special time deposit with Krungsri at 1.8% on the 800k. (Done well having my 800k in Thailand last 7 months as $A has dropped 8.1% since July)
