  1. But you'd have to be stupid to pay 5 million for the 20 year elite when you can get two back to back 10 year elite visa's for 3 million (1.5 million each) There's the real comparison: (1) Pay 3.4 million now to get 20 year visa that only gives you 90 day permission of stay on entry; or (2) Pay 3 million split over 10 years with 1.5 million now for 10 year visa that gives 1 year permission of stay on entry. Pay another 1.5 million in 10 years time therefore allowing you to invest your money for 10 years
  2. So you priced it @ 3.4 million baht, the exact same price as getting a new one! Why would someone buy a used visa for the same price as a new one? Also you said in OP it only gets you 90 days on every entry. The new elite visa gets you one year on every entry. Much more useful and at 900k baht for initial 5 year visa much cheaper (1.5 million for 10 year or 2.5 million for 15 years)
  3. Some misinformation in this thread. Last December I went all the way down to the VAT refund counter (before check-in) and waited in line only to be told at counter no need to go there as item was < 20,000 baht cost (as per daejung post above) So I just needed to go to the VAT counter after immigration for the refund on my 12,000 baht phone. Didn't even have to show it to them
  4. Why not, he already has 2 of the exact same threads here so this one makes 3 😆
  5. TM6 arrival card hasn't been required for years. They stopped using them by air years ago and just stopped using them by land crossings this month.
  6. Why do they announce closure for week-ends that they are always closed for anyway? There are only 3 public holidays: - Monday 6th - Friday 10th - Wednesday 22nd
  7. A mod changed the thread title to that so ask about which schools his grammar is instead 😆
  8. You're missing the point. I've been to this place many times and no-one has ever asked for a tip. OP's thread history also suggests he can't afford a facial at this place. Made up story
  9. Yep, now he's in Jomtien every time he has a brain-fart there'll be a new thread
  10. OP don't you get tired of making up stories? Is it attention you are seeking or are you just a troll, which I guess also gives you the attention you may be seeking....
  11. BS from a Bogan... Surprised OP could afford the 800-1200 baht fee for a facial there nevermind a 60 baht tip
  12. And they have wrong info on them just like mentioned in the other thread 3 days ago. I remember this being brought up over a year ago as well and the embassies have still not corrected the errors
  13. Well you're the one spreading false info posted on Facebook pages so maybe you should have a go at finding the factual Police Order like he suggested 😆
  14. Do you really think airlines scroll through embassy Facebook pages to get their boarding requirements 😆
  15. From your own link it says by land and sea, not by air: For traveling to Thailand by land and sea, UK ordinary passport holders are eligible for Visa Exemption Scheme with a maximum of twice in a calendar year.
  16. Didn't we just have this thread on Monday whereby not a single credible link to these supposed new rules was shown? https://aseannow.com/topic/1325542-has-anyone-heard-of-a-new-law/
  17. Calling a specialist on a Thursday and getting an appointment on Tuesday is pretty good I think. What were you expecting, same day booking?
  18. Yeah how many years ago was that? I opened two accounts on visa exempt but you can't do it for years now.
  19. Is this a thing now where people post question on a forum instead of doing a 3 second Google search 😉
  20. I think you may have answered your own question. You have a Thai wife but only travelling on a tourist visa so the IO decided you should get the "proper" O-A marriage visa next time. Doesn't make it right but it is understandable.
  21. Or do 60 + 30 day extension twice so only 1 border run required
  22. First 120 days wouldn't be a problem (1) 60 days - current visa exempt + extension (2) 60 days - same day border run for visa exempt + extension While you are allowed 2 land crossing visa exempts per calender year the next 60 days depends on your stress levels. (3a) you should get away with another same day border run (agent pre-checks if ok) (3b) best way imo would be to go to somewhere like Vientiane in Laos and get a 60 day tourist visa. You'll need to stay 3-4 days. You could also do the tourist visa trip 2nd which will bring you up to 150 days after extension, with the border run 3rd to get to 180 (no extension required) Note: I just did 208 days last year with 2 visa exempts and 1 tourist visa (+ extensions) and 270 days the year before. Wasn't an issue
  23. That's just another myth repeated constantly here
