If you have a wireless printer at home that you print directly from your phone then what's the point of the whole thread? You have a printer so print it.

No idea, thread is in Pattaya forum so I listed my experience in Pattaya

I understand some people might have PTSD from the past. But for me it was a pleasant experience with a very friendly/helpful IO and the whole process took 40 minutes. As I said before, the fact you still have to go to the bank for letter and Immigraton for picture means you are only saving 30-40 minutes of immigration time (or maybe not as you still have to wait for your stamped passport)

Seems UK is different to Australia as I applied for 2 e-visa (Tourist and non-imm O) this year and neither required proof of flights. I had to enter date of expected arrival and flight number but I just made those up from the Singapore Airlines website (only bought ticket once e-visa approved) Pretty sure Laos/Cambodia e-visa will be same as Australia approach of not requiring proof of flight due so many land border crossings?

You can only apply for 90 day online report within the 15 days before due window. As you are 3 days overdue you would have to report in person (before 7 days overdue to avoid a 2000 baht fine) As for the online pdf you received, I just applied on Wed and instantly recieved a pdf submission form by email. The next day I received the pdf approval form which has the next 90 day due date on it (I assume you will receive a 'rejected' email instead)

Didn't know there was a new Aussie Embassy in Pattaya. Where is it supposed to be 😉

Retirement visa after overstay ban
Pattaya57 replied to thaibreaker's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I just think it's there as an extra warning to make sure people know not to try and use the non-imm O as a way to get around an overstay. If it was taken literally then all these threads asking if it's okay to overstay a few days should be told they'll be banned from ever applying for a retirement visa In Thailand 😀 -
Retirement visa after overstay ban
Pattaya57 replied to thaibreaker's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I think that means if you are currently on overstay, not if you did it 8 years ago and already paid your fine and served your ban Think about it, there are plenty of people that have overstayed before, all getting 500 baht per day fines. This would mean none of them could get retirement visa and forum would have blown up with "Refused retirement visa due to 'x ' days overstay years ago" threads -
Retirement visa after overstay ban
Pattaya57 replied to thaibreaker's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
But I'm not talking about opening a bank account so your last couple of responses are weird. All my posts here about Maneerat are about what they ask for when you already have 800k in bank -
Retirement visa after overstay ban
Pattaya57 replied to thaibreaker's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I'm confused. OP asked about agent and you recommended Maneerat. OP also said his friend would already have 800k in bank, just like my example. I explained Maneerat didn't want to deal with me having 800k in bank already and you say of course Maneerat didn't want my business and my post is not worth a reply. So which is it, are you recommending Maneerat to OP when he will already have 800k in bank, or are you saying of course they will not want his business as he already has 800k in bank? -
Retirement visa after overstay ban
Pattaya57 replied to thaibreaker's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No translation problem as they speak good English at Maneerat. She said if I wanted to use my own 800k baht in bank it has to be deposited for 3 months already (I explained Jomtien only required 2 months, she didnt care and re-stated 3 months). Pretty much they didn't seem interested in dealing with people that had their own 800k. They also refused to do just the non-imm O by itself. Said it's the whole package of 15 months or nothing. My mate also had same response as he had 800k in bank but only just deposited. He paid the full 25k as if he had no money in bank and got the 15 month stamps -
Retirement visa after overstay ban
Pattaya57 replied to thaibreaker's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Just so you know, I went to Maneerat and they quoted me 25k for non-imm O + 12 month extension with no money in bank. When I told them I have 800k in bank already they quoted 24k but said I needed to have had it deposited for 3 months. This made no sense as only 1k baht cheaper and 3 month seeding actually made it impossible as I'd only planned on the 2 month deposit required by Jomtien immigration (was on a 60 day tourist visa at the time). Your friend likely to have the same issue with them (or just pay the 25k without money in bank) -
Retirement visa after overstay ban

Maneerat has already been mentioned but MOTS also offers a stand alone bank account service for 4500 baht with door to door pick-up (obviously they also do the visa if needed) https://www.mots-services.com/ -
Retirement visa after overstay ban

Something else to bare in mind. Jomtien has the rogue requirement of needing 800k in bank for 2 months for non-imm O and you have to apply with at least 15 days remaining on permission of stay. This means even with the 60 day visa exempt and 30 day extension he doesn't have much time to play with since he's already here and you said he won't get bank account until next week? An agent can obviously bypass this 2 month bank requirement and also does the 90 day non-imm O and 12 month extension in one step so giving your friend peace of mind with a 15 month stay granted (also no need to spend 1900 on 30 day extension) -
Retirement visa after overstay ban
Pattaya57 replied to thaibreaker's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
He served his ban and had no problem entering Thailand so why would there be any issue? Why not just apply himself as he has nothing to lose as you don't pay until everything is checked and ready for the stamp. If there is any problem just walk away and then go to an agent if needed. -
My post you quoted started with "I just don't get it when people that have the 800k in the bank want to use an agent." What you are talking about is not having the 800k in the bank so not sure why relevant to my post?
-
I just don't get it when people that have the 800k in the bank want to use an agent. You still have to go to the bank in person to get the bank letter and you still have to go to Jomtien immigration to get your Pic taken. So basically you're paying 8000-12000 to make a few photocopies and wait in line for 30-40 minutes (that's how long my 12 month extension took in Jomtien)

49ers finally break their losing streak with big win over the Bears. Too little too late I'm afraid. I'm a diehard 49ers fan but I find it funny some fans online still think they can make the playoffs. To do that they need to win all 4 remaining games vs Rams, Dolphins, Lions and Cards. That will give them a 10-7 season. Meanwhile, Seahawks would have to win only 1 game vs Packers, Vikings, Bears and Rams to give them 9-8. Technically 49ers could also make the last wildcard but Washington would have to lose 3 of their last 4 games vs Saints, Eagles, Falcons and Cowboys.

Any recent changes to the TM30 document?
Pattaya57 replied to Fiskebolle's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No need to quote OP as they get a notification for every message on their thread (and thread would get quite clogged if everyone quoted OP when responding in thread). I also didn't quote you which I would have if replying to you. Why do you care so much about who is responding to who in the thread? -

Maybe you missed the bit where you're not the OP so I wasn't talking to you lol -
As an update, I formally rejected the Pacific Cross offer complaining if you make all those exclusions I don't know what is left that I'm covered for. PC came back confirming exclusions were only listed due to me stating amount of alcohol per week (15-20 light beers). They said this can be adjusted if I clarify amount and size of drinks I have (It's funny they asked size of bottles in ml or litres lol) I've clarified 15-18 330 ml bottles of 3.2% alcohol beer per week and said I think that's equivalent to 6-8 red wines per week. PC already responded they'll send me a new offer.

I don't see a problem. New format is missing the informed date but still has the check-in date. If that's what the online system spits out why worry? Also as you are supposed to report within 24 hours of check-in date, removing the informed date is actually good for us. If I arrived at my condo 1-Dec and only informed them 7-Dec, technically I'd be liable for a fine. Now it doesn't seem to matter when informed date is
