What does your work contract state? It usually should have all these details such as work days per month or work hours per week, monthly/weekly/hourly rate/salary, public holidays, severance, holidays, sick leave, etc... Section 56. An Employer shall pay Wages to an Employee equivalent to Wages of a Working Day for the following Holidays: (1) a weekly holiday, except for an Employee who receives Wages calculated on a daily, hourly or piece rate basis; (2) a traditional holiday; and (3) annual Holidays. Section 60. For the purposes of wage payment under Section 56, Section 57, Section 58, Section 59, Section 71 and Section 72, whereas an Employee receives Wages calculated on a piece rate basis, the Employer shall pay Wages for Holiday or Leave equivalent to the average Wages of Working Day received by the Employee during the period of payment before such Holiday or Leave. I would think no need to make a fuss, any reasonable employer would work with the employee to solve the issue so that it is within the law. One would raise the issue and discuss and get their feedback. Thai Bank Card security .
freeworld replied to tomgreen's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Don't handover the bank card to the pump attendant, take it to the person who has the machine and observe them putting it in and making the transaction, get the receipt and the bank card back. I even do this in the bank observing them while they have my bank card. In my home country watched my brother doing this and was concerned that they would do some trickery. He confirmed that it had happened twice to him but fortunately he was instantly alerted to the fake transactions and the bank refunded his money. -
Police break up network aiding foreigners to stay in Thailand
freeworld replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You think its the Russians. The ones being reported the last few years are nationals from India, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Chinese, Germans, Poland and Russians etc... The sums of money involved are unbelievable and these crimes are all traced back to Thailand. There really needs to be greater scrutiny on Thai banking deposits who can and how to open bank accounts and detailed KYC on the business models. There also needs to be greater scrutiny on who buys property and luxury goods and the source of the funds for those purchases. For eg a few of the crimes detected and being investigated: Mr. Wang and his Chinese associates On May 15th, the SSD officers reportedly operated and captured two suspects, publicly identified only as Mr. Jayden, a Singaporean national, and Ms. Ketdao, a Thai national, Ms. Maria, a Philippine national, and Mr. Joel, a Singaporean national culminated in the arrest of the man, Kittinan, A Chinese businessman arrested in Bangkok, Qaing Ma, Arrest warrants were issued for 109 suspects in the June 16-22 police operation to shut down the network, he said. Police apprehended 74 suspects, including 13 already in prison, while 35 remain at large In Lat Krabang area Thailand police swooped to bust a clandestine operation producing counterfeit flea and tick treatments for pets, uncovering over 40,000 illicit products The suspects, including five Indian nationals and 15 Thais, have been charged with involvement in transnational crime, fraud by impersonating others, fraud of the people, inputting false information into computer systems that causes damage to others, money laundering and conspiring to launder money. etc.... -
Thai-US powered operation crumbles cybercrime hacker syndicate

US laws, sanctions, embargoes and influence and manipulations extends around the worldwhen it involves US citizens, institution or their money. The world is basically controlled by the US. But here is why the US gets involved, crimes are being committed against US citizens and Institutions and some of it is due to investigating billions of dollars of fraud comitted during the covid19 pandemic The ones who have still not been caught should be very worried, the US is still coming after them. "A 35-year-old Chinese man has been arrested in Singapore, and millions of dollars in cars, watches and real estate have been seized as part of a blockbuster raid on a global cyber criminal network that defrauded the US government of billions of dollars, the Justice Department said Wednesday. Court records did not list an attorney for Wang. Leatherman said the US government was pursuing his extradition to the US and that an investigation into other potential suspects was ongoing. Wang and other alleged members of the criminal network used virtual private networking (VPN) to spread their malicious code, infecting 19 million different IP addresses worldwide, including over 600,000 in the US, according to prosecutors. IP addresses are the unique numbers that correspond to individual devices on the internet" -
Helpful people sometimes are. I think the OP matter is easy to solve. I'm not in Pattaya, but if I were there, its something I would do to help and no payment would be necessary.

Depends, govts and some private companies are actively working to monitor and the go to court to get a block on certain iptv streaming domains. For eg this is latest news https://torrentfreak.com/dazn-wins-court-order-to-block-around-90-pirate-sports-streaming-sites-240603/ https://torrentfreak.com/e5-3m-pirate-iptv-network-dismantled-by-spanish-police-is-still-streaming-240602/ As they say its like a hydra, they stop it in one location and then it pops up somewhere else. -
Some questions What pc is it (notebook or desktop) How much ram do you have What harddisk is in the pc What is the cpu What version of windows are you running presently. On windows you could use piriform speccy free version, download and install it then it can be run to show most of the hardware features installed on your pc. https://www.ccleaner.com/download Piriform also have a free cleaner which works quite well. Just be careful what you select to clean, if you do not want to remove your personal files. https://www.ccleaner.com/download If it is a low spec older pc then probably windows 11 would not be suitable for that. Windows 10 should be ok for a few more years though. There are linux operating systems which would run efficiently on low spec hardware but it takes a little bit of learning and understanding.

Thai-US powered operation crumbles cybercrime hacker syndicate

Wrong Offenses were committed against American citizens. The FBI then becomes aware, investigates, traces, tracks then cooperates and participates with foreign law enforcement that the offenders are dealt with and caught. Probably most of the investigation work was done by the US authorities. We now know why delays being experienced by some to transfer money to Thailand as the banks conduct additional checks. "Long arm of US law enforcement reaches out with the help of the Royal Thai Police to smash international online fraudsters targeting US citizens from Thailand and transferring huge amounts of pilfered funds to the kingdom." -

I think its more to get people to pay rents (more control, rates, fees and taxes) and less govt to clean up around (savings) It sure is changing the character of Thailand. -
PM Unveils Thailand's First Châteaux Wine Exhibition

Looks like those visits to France early this year are beginning to reap rewards. Extract from a Thai news article "The PM then attended the Thailand-France Business Forum, held at L'Apostrophe Business Centre in Paris. In his opening remarks, Srettha highlighted the government’s “Ignite Thailand” vision, a campaign to elevate Thailand into a global hub for tourism, wellness and medical, agriculture and food, aviation, logistics, future mobility, digital economy, and finance. The PM underscored the vast potential for French companies interested in investing in Thailand." -
Nope, nothing to do with that. If govt are involved it would be the Ministry of Finance (MOF), Bank of Thailand (BOT) and the Anti money laundering office (AMLO) If any holdups it is probably more due to compliance with Western nations regulations and checks where all international finance rules are being devised and decided.

British Pensioner Struggles with Frozen Pension in Thailand
freeworld replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The fact that the govt institution could be fooled out of 50 mil GBP is a huge question how they are running the service. Sentencing also seems quite light for the perpetrators The perpetrators have been sentenced to over 25 years imprisonment collectively. One perpetrator has been sentenced to eight years imprisonment, others to respectively seven years and three months, four years, three years and two months and three years in prison -
Banking is highly secret and I'm sure they are doing some checks. The service is only atrocious when a customer experiences some kind worry when their transfer is delayed. Fortunately there are alternatives.
