  1. And their 74 years old boss wants to come back home. The <deleted> had anticipated that there was room for some deal a while ago.
  2. I agree, whatever my/your current performance is, these numbers are ridiculously low. And what is their definition of a a sex act? When I was 15 I was J..k..g off 4 or 5 times a day, does that count?
  3. I have the feeling that Mr. @Kwasakithinks this is smart comment but sadly it is plain dumb and is a weak attempt of ignoring the reality. Anyone single, who had a middle class lifestyle back home, will need that sort of money to keep his standard of living. What is the rent for a good 70/80 sqm condo in Silom? A barely decent bottle of wine costs 700 Baht. The near free good quality healthcare is now an expensive private hospital, and so on..
  4. No, as I don't see how I could live in Thailand on less than 100k a month.
  5. Yep, I was a total dumbass then, spent a lot of my time reading writers of the 19th century... I didn't even have TV, was reading the Washington Post, 2 or 3 days late, but was worth getting it flown in.
  6. Sure, but all the others have gotten theirs through an exam that is an absolute farce.
  7. I don't think it would. But I am of the opinion that they should enforce a 4 month stay in the home country every couple of years. A way to ensure that these visas are truly "Non resident".
  8. Must be that buyers were rich and influential...
  9. Not if they if they keep going the way of the LTR visa; the pension doesn't have to be paid into a Thai bank while the health insurance doesn't have to be in Thai either. The whole paperwork can be in English and processed online. Can be done from home in less than a couple of hours.
  10. I find it amusing that the OP reads almost as if it was MFP that was responsible for this situation. While the 250 unelected parasites could just let them do the work they have been elected for.
  11. Warranty is very important, as many of these TVs can die after a few years. Some brands, such as Sony, give 3 years while others, like LG, only one year. The when it comes to OLED vs LCD you should know that OLED performs better in dark environments and has the drawback of a shorter life time. While LCD with full array backlight come very close to OLED an can be viewed in brighter rooms.
  12. Indeed, what is the difference between a guy picking his nose over the next paragraph of a business case and a guy picking his nose over his next witty post on Aseannow?
