Based on what I read about this actual agreement, as it was finally acceptable to Ukraine after many revisions, yes he did have to sign it again if he wants there to be any hope of future cooperation of any kind with Trump. Of course Europe isn't ready to fully take the place of the U.S. so Zelinsky needs to at least try to keep hope alive for further U.S. aid. That would include selling him the defense Patriots which Europe doesn't even have an equivalent to sell.
