If you please you can substitute authoritarian or autocratic for fascist. In other words, in the context of Trump do you think he wants to rule in a dictatorial style such as Putin, Xi, Orban, Kim, Hitler etc. or does he want to be a normal rule of law respecting president in the style of a western liberal democracy? To me the answer is totally obvious. He tells us the former publicly. You don’t need Kelly's revelations to see that very clearly.

Nullying a sentence wouldn't make any difference. He could undo being a convicted felon status by a successful appeal of the actual felonies he has already been found guilty of. But he'd still be a convicted felon until that may ever happen, even if many years later.

In any case all that needs to happen is any sentencing phase regardless of the sentence to trigger the convicted felon status. So if he wins he will be inaugurated as the first convicted felon president.

I was corrected on this. In New York he has indeed been found guilty of felonies but will not technically be a convicted felon until the sentencing phase. Weird but true. The sentence could be a slap with a wet noodle though. So the sentencing phase is scheduled in November so win or lose he will soon be a convicted felon.
