  1. Expanding on my comment before about things becoming more problematic to start with a new O visa IN Thailand. I'm sure you want an O rather than an O-A to avoid the health insurance requirement.
  2. Historically in general in modern times republicans are much worse for increasing the national debt than democrats. This current Trump ugly bill of unfairness and medical misery for the poor reallty takes the cake though.
  3. I think he's saying his previous extension has expired. So that would mean starting all over again with a new O visa, correct? The rules are different for that and I have heard that has become more problematic than usual currently to do in Thailand.
  4. Yeah I had a balti dish at a well regarded London place. Definitely distinctive.
  5. So I've heard. There are a lot of Bangladeshi chefs in Pattaya as well. Many of the places have specific Bangladeshi food menus as well which has very different dishes. Sometimes you need to ask and translate them as they don't expect f-rangs to be interested. That said, I've enjoyed the novelty and learning experience of trying specifically Bangladeshi dishes, but I haven't had any in Pattaya that I would describe as stellar.
  6. I'm glad you brought Tarka House up. It's extremely popular with the f-rang crowd. Years ago it was on my regular rotation but then I had a few bad experiences there so stopped. Recently the youtube channel "Sanctioned Ivan" featured it as the "best" Indian in Pattaya so I tried it again. It was indeed improved from the experiences that put me off it. They have a distinctive style. Not my favorite but I understand why it's so popular and also decent portions of value. Another case which illustrates that the restaurant business is tough. Chefs come, chefs go, what was good last month might be crap now, and vice versa.
  7. I've had Indian food in the UK and my guess is that you've developed a personal taste about the style that is served there so you're not finding that here.
  8. I've had some Grab from them and I recall good food. Will check again. As there are so many Indian places and always new ones, with varying chefs, etc. I never only use one place. I'm always taking risks mixing it up. Which means sometimes wasted money and other times pleasant surprises. Sorry, I'm not buying your ONLY place hyperbole. There are hundreds of Indian places here and huge crowds of Indian tourists. There is no way it's the only one. That's just your personal taste and also there is no way you've tried hundreds of places, so why bother with the silly proclamations?
  9. To be clear the lying sleazeball Putin loving president promised to end the conflict on day one after being elected while not even being president yet!
  10. Yeah there's great Indian food in Malaysia and Singapore as well. Personally my favorite was a place in California favored by Indian software engineers. They had money so they could pay great chefs. Bangkok has some of those "banana leaf" style restaurants too.
  11. Yeah it seems that people are often very ignorant about the diversity in Mexico. Such as black Mexicans, Jewish Mexicans (now represented by their very popular president), etc.
  12. Oh Maria please. Chinese-Mexicans | ReVista www.revista.drclas.harvard.edu/chinese-mexicans/ Also note that quite often more indigenous Mexicans have Asian features.
  13. Trump may just be the last person on earth that actually thinks Putin ever wanted peace. But then again, is he really even that stupid, or is this all a game he's playing with his idol.
  14. They could make lt easier with an online solution but they won't.
  15. Vile Russian talking points.
  16. Impossible to know. Perhaps the Doge big balls boys fired the grey hair that made this happen. Doubtful that the well being of Americans out of sight out of mind is any kind of priority to maga.
  17. I call BS. He tried to pressure Ukraine to surrender.
  18. There will be so many proud Thai mamas soon. My son the (weed) doctor. I think I'm gonna go for one of those Thai weed cards. A cool novelty item if nothing else. I can frame it along with my bartending certificate from Harvard and my reverend's license from the Hawaii church of candle dripping (I can marry people).
  19. I guess it's fair to assume the pythons weren't overly excited.
  20. Putin doesn't mind losing a million of his own people for his messianic imperialist agenda as long as most of them aren't the ethnic Russian Moscow and St. Petersburg elites. So clearly to him Ukrainian lives are even more worthless.
  21. Yeah to call something "beautiful" that's designed to kick the most vulnerable many of millions Americans off health care (and food assistance) leading to so many deaths to pay for tax breaks for the wealthiest is totally OBSCENE. This president is shameless in the extreme. America first? No. Only certain Americans.
  22. The main lie there was that a large percentage of SS recipients ALREADY pay no tax because of low income. So the sleazeball liar in chief is trying to take credit for something low income people already experience.
  23. The truth is that Putin is a genocidal dictator. His clear intention available to you or anyone is to ERASE Ukraine. It's culture, it's identity, it's art, it's education, it's language, it's books, it's religion, and all of it's people who won't accept being merged with Russia (by forcing out or murder). That doesn't need to mean literal occupation. A puppet government would work and may be preferred. Russian then can get more slave soldiers for it's greater imperialist ambitions.
