Last night I received an SMS message [automated] from AIS in Thai language stating that the company has nothing to do with Thai politics. And that the Shins sold all their shares in the company back in 2543.
Lucky you... I had 12 yesterday !! SMS message [automated] from AIS in Thai language stating that the company has nothing to do with Thai politics......
Talking to a Thai friend , they also received 12 yesterday.
I was annoyed after just the one. Twelve would have done my head in.

Thai news is reporting 7 injured, 2 seriously. Out of the 7 three are children.

I would give more weight to it being drunk football hooligans [red ones] after Trat were defeated by Chiang Mai FC in the season opener there last night. The game ended not long before the attack. Trat football fans are notoriously aggressive and violence is a common thing at and/or after matches.

Thai news is reporting M26 grenades were used in the attack as opposed to the usual Russian/Chinese makes widely used in the Bangkok violence.

And this clip shows why it is #2. Very scary to watch these two drivers [clowns] put a lot of lives at risk on a busy highway in broad daylight.

Bad shots. They must have been amateurs.
Or distance challenged. Max firing range M79 400 meters, effective firing range 350 meters.
Those effective ranges are for area targets. For point targets the range comes down to only 150m.

I wonder if Suthep shorted the stocks before he declared the boycott.

These tractors sure could do some damage in Bangkok if the climate gets ugly. A literal small army.

Stop watching the various Thai News TV stations would be a good place to start weaning one's self of Thai politics.

They opened them for convenience in ciphering off more cash would be more correct.

Bad drills. More footage of the grenade attack from another angle. You can clearly see the grenade hit the police shield line. Then one silly cop breaks rank [a big no no] to kick the grenade away. All a little to late.
How can you call silly someone that risked his life for save him and his mates?
Would you have just stayed with your shield there awaiting for the grenade to explode?
Yes I would of " just stayed with my shield". They are grenade frag resistant. Luckily his actions didn't cause injury to any other officers.

This is some footage from CNN the moment a grenade explodes among the police line.
Can someone tell me if those shotgun cartridges on the floor near the injured policeman would have been used to contain rubber bullets or blanks - or is there no way of telling?
Another sad day for Thailand condolences to all injured and the fathers, mothers, son, daughters of those killed and maimed.
I am pretty sure that those red cartridges are from live SG 12 gauge shotgun shells.

Great idea. Make up a 'hit list' for right wing red shirts to get thier hands on. This would end any protesting on my behalf.

"Polling stations have opened," said Election Commission secretary general Puchong Nutrawong, adding protesters had prevented voting on Sunday across 12 southern provinces and in at least three Bangkok districts.

" Kittiratt has resorted to every means to come up the money to pay to the farmers."
Has he given his old mate Thaksin a call to foot the bill. He has to be good for it. lol !

" The Post quoted Supon, a former policeman as saying "The majority of redshirts really like the idea of a separate state. If they stage a coup, we can live without Bangkok."
Yeah right. Then you will end up like other land locked metropolis' such as Loas, Afghanistan, South Sudan etc etc
Are you sure? According to the last election results, it seems to me that Bangkok would be the almost land locked metropolis in such a scenario. Even the entire North East of Bangkok is red:
From your OWN image: Bangkok results: Democrats 23, Pheu Thai 10
Who has hold of Bangkok right now ?

Don't forget Switzerland
Yes. But I don't think North / North Eastern Thailand will get the same amount of snow as Switzerland anytime soon.

I have been a user of AIS for around the same amount of time. I just had to get the notifications turned off as it was overwhelming. Now I never get any. Accept for this message yesterday. I guess they hit the override button to get this one across.
