  1. Any luck finding it.? I've had none.
  2. So you are saying that it is still possible for Russians to fly here and to fly home. Thank you, wasn't too clear on that.
  3. "I keep defending that policy".????9 Wot you on about lad.? I have never defended it, I was just stating that it is the position.
  4. Dr J I had forgotten about that one. Prior to Covid was it still enforced or did it go the way of the maximimum stay of 6 months pa if not on a long term permit.?
  5. A visa is not a 100% guarantee of entry to Thailand. Immigration at the port of entry make the final decision. Refusal is rare but does happen.
  6. We will see what happens when (and if) their money runs out and food, accommodation and flights home are not available to them.
  7. Long time since I've been but I think Nong Khai and Mukdahan would be hard work for more than an overnight stay. Unless you touched lucky the first night and got a bit keen.
  8. Might possibly be more interesting to state the longest serving poster, the most posts, the most annual or monthly posts. But possibly not really, I am sure the figures are easily available.
  9. Yes I am happy living alone and have possibly got too used to it. Living amongst others becomes uncomfortable.
  10. Interesting to you maybe, but no more than a passing thought to others.
  11. I am not known for boundless optimism, but I have heard a few saying they would rather those 2 wins had been in the league.
  12. It's all these arrivistes, what do you do with them eh.?
  13. I never realised that a 90 day non-O was a permit to stay and not a visa. Interesting I am regularly arguing with people who insist the one year permit to stay is a visa. But on the last 90 day I had, I am sure that under "type of visa" it said non-immigrant.
  14. Well we all have different experiences, the Scottish people I am friendly with are loyal to the Crown and the Union.
  15. I took your post to be a broad anti - British swipe. Which it largely was. Boris is not solely responsible for the conditions you mention and they are not peculiar to the UK.

    Patong - The Wake

In the nearly Five years since how do you think it has performed.? Still a wake or wake over and everyone gone away.? Some people I speak to in Pattaya have done the Sandbox there and think it is/was wonderful.
  17. No, no, we're all doomed to a future of wellies, plastic macs and brollies. The good news is it will be the same for the Russians, Chinese and Indians. We won't be suffering alone.
  18. I am as puzzled as you Charlie, if there was a train to Nakhon Sawan from Hualamphong I would be on it at the weekend. Under the impression that Hualamphong had closed in December I made enquiries about going from Bang Sue and the response quoted Don Mueang. The online timetable still quotes Hualamphong. I passed Bang Sue Grand Station yesterday and did not see any signs of life. I'll be back in Bangkok later in the week so will try and find out then. How far is the new station from the MRT.? .
  19. I meant one item was from the Thaiger and one from YouTube not that they were the official sources
