Finally someone has noticed Pattaya's invisible police! Hardly a week has gone by in the last 20+ years when I haven't had something negative to say here about Pattaya's corrupt, inept, lazy, uncaring, inefficient BIB.

Does TAT know about this? Thailand seems determined to kill off what remains of tourism here. TDAC + the 'new' 300 baht levy at the airports have sent Vietnam numbers soaring, whilst this country remains mired in overcomplicating every facet of life here.

This suggests Pattaya police are lazy about the paper work as well as the simple matter of enforcing the law on the streets. Heaven forfend!

There was no mention of drink in the story; your comment is true but maybe irrelevant. The 2nd comment fails to mention that 90% of traffic is motorbikes.

I have spent (too much) time in Hat Yai (I christened it Rat Yai at the time.) I confess to not being able to differentiate Chinese Malaysians from other Malaysians hence my theory that Thai Immigration numbers are boosted by the huge numbers making the weekend trip. I believe Sungai Golok and Sadao are in Thailand, thus your comment merely reinforces my comment; Thai Immigration numbers are hugely influenced by the Malaysian numbers arriving each week for sex/AKA leg-over.

Hat Yai's population doubles every weekend as hordes of Malay men arrive to check out the beauties of Thailand. Now imagine what Thailand's 17.5 million arrivals would look like without them.
