    Most Thai dog owners are deaf and ignore their pets' noise which can go on for hours at night (in my experience). I do not condone this offence but have often thought of tossing poisoned food in the direction of the owner.

    Meanwhile on every corner, meat is marinated in carbon monoxide for hours in 30+ temperatures served by someone with no toilet/hand-washing facilities surrounded by dogs whilst sending dense clouds of smoke obscuring the road and contributing to the Thai haze.

    Exactly my first thoughts; there does not seem to be a Thai word for 'maintenance'.

    My son was held to ransom when his sisters sent him some Honey Locketts for his birthday. Because he lives in Bangkok he suffers from a persistent cough. It cost him far more than 35 baht to liberate them. It's a scam; a thriving industry, for as long as I can remember.

    Treat them Mean, Keep them Kean. Marrying is akin to winning the lottery; to be able to take things easy whilst enjoying the comforts of wealth. It manifests itself in a variety of ways: laziness; greed; taking advantage of kindness; weight-gain! I've travelled both routes - having a TGF beats having a wife.
