    There is no 'scope of RTP's authority.' On the rare occasions they do any work, THEY decide IF an offence has been committed; THEY often decide what the punishment will be and how much.

    How low can you go? I remember a top police officer proudly announcing that bad Thais did not commit offences against other Thais.

    Thais are always 'mulling over' stuff, but never acting on it. Getting a police force would be a step in the right direction. If CCTV works after an event, why not as part of a prevention drive? Every time I am forced on to the roads I witness 100 offences an hour but never any police.

    Sattahip Cop Shop is a dyed-in-the-wool den of iniquity. My wife & I have suffered personally at the hands of a bent copper who extorted 15K from my wife 'or my next-year's visa would be very difficult'. This was after deciding I was at fault for an accident whilst stationary at a U-turn! There will be no pivotal moment.

    Totally disagree. This incident took place by the beach in downtown Pattaya/Jomtien. I live on the Darkside where there are no roaming Freelancers so all negotiations are 'supervised' by a mamasan. I suggest the outer areas are peopled by escapees from the mayhem that is Pattaya Central.

    I would imagine a 3some would be 6K++. At 82 I'm a one shot guy so I would have to regretfully decline.

    A (nother) damning indictment of the oxymoronic Thai Justice system! The statute of limitations expires TOMORROW so all 14 will return by the weekend; home free.

    So there's just two people living in an appartment & things start to vanish to the tune of 100,000 baht and they initially blame each other. A spy camera or an exorcism was needed.
