Talk is talk. I will set a date on my calendar to see if they have been successful.

I have a feeling the cigarette smoking angel was acting out more than he lets on. Bad to do if you are not in friendly territory.

Less moral support more help.

The only police I saw out this last week were at the bribe generating roadblocks. That was the few days leading up to NY. Making money for the boss I guess, plus a little cut for themselves. Then from NY on they all disappeared. Just saw a cop this morning. Horrible little mafia they are, don't give a damn about citizens.

This is very typical in Thailand. Jumping into a project without giving it a thorough SWAT analysis. Typically it is the monsoon season this time of the year (Dec to Feb) in the Gulf of Thailand. You can only provide this service for 9 months of a year. To kick off this project at this time, tells you how much planning has gone into it - doomed even before you start.

Hey Jim Jones, pass me a glass of that koolaid.

Good catch. But.... Apollo has landed.
In 2014 the US was the second most ignorant country of those studied, wow.
They are interviewing young liberals!
How do you know they are libs? Could be those backwoods coal miner trumpists.

Is this happening nationwide or some small corner of the capital?
Was wondering the same. I haven't seen one policeman on the road the three days.

Woody should have asked him how much if any time was he actually in the prison, and can he prove it.

Such deep revelations from journalists of the highest integrity.

I wonder how much the quiet payoff was?

http://www.khaosodenglish.com/politics/2016/09/06/yellowshirt-leader-sondhi-jailed-20-years-fraud/
There are other high profile cases but I am too tired to go after all of them. Fact remains many people have been jailed for fraud..corruption and so on far more as under YL. Not to mention that YL with her amnesty wanted 20.000 corruption cases to go away. So its quite easy to say more has been done because under YL they were going backwards.
As long as he allows those in power to be corrupt, and for the police to remain corrupt, it enables the whole system to be corrupt. -
Motorbike was speeding and trying to weave thru traffic as they do here. Taxi could have been more vigilant but man it is hard. I spend 25% of my time babysitting those little boys on the bikes as they screech around to my left and right. Then again, I don't shift lanes every 10 seconds like most do here.

Haha I dumped TrueVision over 10 years ago. Get all my content from other sources very easily, no commercials, what I want to see and nothing else.

I bet this boy NEVER leaves the classroom without permission again.
So you guys think he needs more farang punishment, like standing in the corner for 10 minutes? Or writing 100 times "i will never leave the classroom without permission" on a of piece paper. Or you won't get pocketmoney for 2 weeks now.
I can still give you all the full names of all the teachers who ever hit me. And i don't even blame them cause they were right in doing so.
Just look in the malls and see how unmannered the Thai kids are, even when the parents call them to stop running like crazy they won't listen at all.
Ahhh, and here they come.

happy for u. my dad was from that fantastic generation that never learned how to talk (emotions). oh well. i survived and learned a lot, eg. that i didn't want kids ;-)
Yeah my dad was a pacifist but had to get over that instinct.
Seeing a nasty woman like that who obviously enjoys hurting young children makes me so angry. I really do feel that she needs a couple years in prison for that.

Thailand has the highest percentage of computers with virusses in the world.
It is so easy to have computer virusses distributed throughout Thailand.
I have seen new computers with a fresh illegal version of windows that were fully equiped with all kinds of virusses. Even with fake virusscanners and fake firewalls. Most Thai DDoS attacks are currently coming from Thai banks (yes, even most of the ATM machines are infected), government and university computers. I still have several logs from one of the websites that was recently attacked by a DDoS here in Thailand.
How? Just supply the "users" with a free (download) version of any software. The number one search engine phrase in Thailand: "free download (ฟรี)"!
Yeah same here. I recently checked a Thai friends new laptop because it was slow. He had had it 'fully loaded' from the shop even though I told him to just bring it to me without anything on it. I also have illegal copies of things but they are clean. I did a check on it and it had over 300 nasties on it. Wiped it clean and installed it over.

All this doublespeak is making my head spin.

... and how they gave the same "education" to their own kids like my dad tried on me til, aged 14, i was fed up, uppercut him and that was the LAST time he laid a hand on me. child beaters, grrrr.
My dad tried once when I was about 8, I screamed so loud and long that it freaked him out and he never tried again. I think his dad had beaten him...anyway, from there on out it was all time outs and talks instead of attempts at physical punishment.

Whoops!
In the last year I have had a few instances of racing bikes blasting past me on the expressway, usually at night. It's always a bit of a shock. Somehow they get up there, I always just figured they were VIPs who got permission somehow to be up there.

Better not to fight here, unless you have more in your gang then they in theirs.

Waiting for those old-timers of Thaivisa to come out talking about their own glory days of being whipped by the headmaster and how it did them a lot of good.
Hopefully the new teacher is punished with jail time and forever banned from a classroom.
Maybe she can find a job as a dominatrix somewhere.
