  1. It's time and temperature that gets them, even if it sits there unused - those tires will need changing. I got about 7 years out of them before changing them.
  2. I guess it's pure luck that nobody in the immediate vicinity was wounded or killed like previous incidents when gung-ho cops shoot at cars.
  3. Umm hmm, they will buy every scrap of food available until there's nothing left.
  4. But e-cigarettes are already banned, aren't they? ????
  5. Yep, they needed changing, something to do with heat related damage I believe. I don't service it but I have someone keep an eye on it every now and again.
  6. It's due to changes in regulations which prohibit banks from investing in, owning and / or operating crypto exchanges. Source : https://www.reuters.com/article/thailand-economy-cenbank-idUSL4N1Q234I This is not new and they would have known about this long ago, the above article is dated 2018. If anything the regulations have become stricter since then and maybe now they're enforcing them in some new way. SCB want a piece of the pie, the markets will go nuts again - it's just a matter of time - this will cost SCB dearly in the longer run if they don't figure out a way around it.
  7. Inded, I bought a Vios 9 years ago and it's never been back to the dealership. I've changed the oil a few times, changed the tires and fitted a slightly different battery at one point. It's done 20,000 km in that 9 years, still looks like new and I've never had a problem with it - but as you can see from the mileage I don't really use it that much.
  8. Omicron booster from Pfizer will replace the vaccine used previously - there's a reason they won't continue to use the old vaccine once the new one is approved and available. Do you have any idea why that might be the case?
  9. I heard something similar about Bitkub but it may just be a maintenance issue coming in the next day or two. Also this : https://asia.nikkei.com/Spotlight/Cryptocurrencies/Thailand-s-SCB-delays-deal-with-Bitkub-amid-tighter-crypto-rules
  10. When you get fed up with the KYC process at Bitkub I recommend you go over to UpBit Thailand and you will be up and running very quickly. They do have some weird rule about not being able to withdraw during the first couple of days after the very first transaction or something like that - but once that's done it's easy. So easy to register and easy to use - get the phone app for the photo part - it makes things so much easier. EDIT: I would hold off on Bitkub for now - there is emerging news which you may hear about in the next day or two and it's negative.
  11. The possible reasons they did the swab has been explained multiple times to you already - it was absolutely nothing to do with your medications. There's no reason to change anything you did as you did nothing wrong.
  12. When they do a swab test like this at an airport I believe they're testing for traces of explosives but perhaps also some other things - however it's mainly an anti terrorist thing. It's certainly nothing to do with medications
  13. Did you have any issues verifying your Thai address with FTX? When it comes to Bitcoin exchanges I find when using any non Thai exchange this is the hurdle which sometimes prevents usage due to language barriers and a distinct lack of any official way to prove your address. As for the OP question - there is an exchange named BitKub and also UpBit Thailand UpBit Thailand can be linked to a local Thai bank account very easily and deposits / withdrawals are processed very quickly.
  14. I'm wondering if the hotel didn't do this which is why they issued the form....
  15. I'm sure as <deleted> not paying for anything more than I use personally - this is guaranteed.
  16. Seems a little unrealistic to me. Lets look at the numbers, 1 million people, that's quite a target - in fact it's 1.4% of the current population of Thailand. One million people each investing $1 million would bring more than $1 Trillion, or to be more precise 40 Trillion Baht into the economy and that's just with the investment requirement. Then there's 1 million Rai which these new arrivals are supposed to purchase - where is that coming from? That's about double the Thai GDP from a few years back which is no doubt considerably lower right now. So, it's absolute nonsense in every way that it's possible for something to be absolute nonsense.
  17. They're referring to the phenomenon which was found to be caused by cheap vitamin E acetate being used to 'cut' the very expensive cannabis oil and passing it off as a risk directly attributable to the cannabis oil. To put it simply, there's no way they could know this much and not also know that what they're saying is not true.
  18. Yep, I remember the booth - didn't come back for a while (maybe 10 years) and missed the machine era completely!
  19. I remember it being 500 Baht at one point. I believe it's still there, now much more and also applied to the airfare as a 'fee'. Now they have both an entrance fee and an exit fee.
  20. They have absolutely no idea how many hundreds of thousands of new transmissions there are each day right now or what percentage of the population is currently infected. If they do know the above then they're certainly not speaking about it. There is absolutely no way at all that Thailand comes out of this any differently to any other country in the world - just look at NZ right now, there's no hope there either and they're still in denial. Time is the equaliser here.
