If the political elites keep letting down the citizens then I fear the worst. The people of Europe have been extremely patient, but when they feel like they cannot change things via the ballot box, that they are not being listened to, they are inclined to take things into their own hands. The authorities know this which is why they are crushing dissent so aggressively, with multiple year sentences handed out simply for social media posts. It's a pressure cooker and they are doing their best to keep the lid on it. Unfortunately, they also continue to increase the heat. I believe this is unwise. Let's hope they wake up and read the room before we see any more worrying scenes like we've seen lately in Ireland, Britain, Spain etc. This needs to be fixed with robust immigration policies and border control, not violence.
