  1. Millions of people worldwide care. The families and friends of the 3 men who were murdered care. And yes they were murdered by their own side. They came out shirtless, presumably to show that there were not carrying IEDs. They had a white flag of surrender. They were speaking Hebrew yet they were still shot and 2 killed instantly by the IDF because one fully armed IDF soldier decided that they were terrorists and opened fire. The firing stopped by the battalion commanders order and the survivor came out of the house, still shirtless, still with a white flag and was shot and killed, even after the cease fire order had been given. Why was he even in the military if he decided to open fire on 3 unarmed civilians carrying a white flag. There is NO excuse no matter what the IDF whitewash will say. His platoon corporal, sergeant, lieutenant and all those above him up to and especially Netanyahu are culpable and failed in their job.
  2. If I were to take anybody's advice on this forum it would be Sheryl's and nobody else's. She KNOWS what she is talking about whereas most of the posters only know about themselves and their problems. If you were to line up and interview 10, 20 or more posters they may have similar problems, but their cures would be different. What works for one person, may not work for another or even anybody else, no matter what they believe or say.
  3. Now that is a different price than mentioned in the earlier post here. park officials defended charging Thais 950 baht and foreigners 1,500 baht per visit as appropriate because this covers going through chambers two and three, Amarin TV said this afternoon (Dec. 18). Even their story here quotes Park administrators today explained that the 950 baht fee for Thais and 1,500 baht for foreigners is for touring chambers two and three which must be supervised by officials and requires additional equipment.
  4. Bugger. Got me again.
  5. But the guides don't get paid any extra whether the tourists are Thai or not.
  6. IIRC the last time I renewed my passport (not with VFS0 the UK passport office would not accept my application using my Kasikorn Bank Visa debit card. Neither it seems will VFS accept it, take cash in Thai baht or a bank transfer.
  7. Surely not every other country has a similar clump of bumbling inept jackasses as the Conservative party in the UK. Not that the Labour party is much better either.
  8. Are there different prices for US and non US citizens? Is it 800 baht for one person in a car and the same price for 5 or 6 people including children and babies in another car?
  9. Of course it is no laughing matter but that seems to make no difference to the person who posted them. Have you messaged the moderators to see if they can get rid of it for you? Unfortunately things like this are happening more often, since the decision to remove the names of the people who post emojis.
  10. I can order stuff on Lazada, pay direct from my Thai bank account, use a credit card or even pay COD, and for a small fee it is delivered to my door. I can use email or a smart phone to talk to the seller world wide, but dealing with the UK government, none of this is permitted. The UK embassy in Bangkok is of little to no help either.
  11. That is what I take. Prescribed and sold at the state hospital, which is where I get all my meds now, other than OTC meds. BESTATIN [Simvastatin] is a genetic trade name. The best idea I have found when given a new medicine is to search the internet for the genetic version. When my wife was in a private hospital she was given Paracetamol tablets at 18 thb each. Exactly the same as Tylenol available OTC at any pharmacy at about 100 thb for 100 tablets.
  12. Strangely enough the laughing emojis seem to have disappeared from the posts. It is almost as though the person who posted them seems to have woken up and realised how offensive they were and removed them. The person or persons who posted them did so anonymously (no names allowed, no pack drill). OTOH it could have been the moderators who removed them, and they would know who posted them. I do agree with you about the greater amount of undesirable posters on this forum lately.
  13. Somebody gave me a laughing emoji for this post. I guess I must have been correct.
  14. Can you explain to me how illegal aliens can vote. If they are illegal, then they won't be on a voters list anywhere, so how can more liberal politicians count on their vote?
  15. I wonder whose expense account paid the bill? She went in mob handed to the “Jai Fai” Thai street food restaurant, which has clinched the Michelin star for the seventh consecutive year. It would not have been cheap, nor would it have been normal Thai street food.
  16. They may have borrowed against that already. I have no idea, do you?
  17. The most important word in that report is may, not definitely does or does not, but it may in some cases.
  18. I am not sure that they are callous, more likely simply stupid.
  19. Of course you could always ban drunk drivers, those under the influence of drugs, those who drive carelessly or far too fast, or those who take micro naps. That would make the roads a lot safer for everybody including electric bikes and trikes.
  20. Step forward, Wyle E Coyote
  21. It seem that Mr A is already 141 days into overstay. It would be interesting to know if he is locked up in the Immigration IDC or in the regular police Bangkok 'Hilton'.
  22. You are correct. There is also the Phuket Express and TNN International who also carried the story. But not the Nation yesterday Also what you forgot to mention is that this is NOT the original post but a completely new follow up post 48 hours later which is why I asked where you goy the information from. I know that you cannot link articles from the Bangkok Post directly but you are allowed to mention their name.
  23. Where did you get that from? It certainly wasn't in the Phuket Post report. If you have the link, why not post it in your reply? Was it from this link? https://tpnnational.com/2023/12/17/finnish-tourists-falsely-claim-kidnapping-in-patong-overstaying-charges-pressed/
  24. The one that I ordered is only 30 watts to cover the bridge between us and our neighbour and it stays on for at least 12 hours. The company is from Bangkok and is called Modi and they are on the internet. They have many models of solar street and spot lights. I ordered mine from Lazada COD at a cot of 321.44 thb, and it was delivered in 5 days. This is what I ordered Solar cell street light, model MD-SLT27 - 30W (steady bright system), genuine* brand MODI XMLSOLAR. It has the bracket, the extension and the solar light itself, but no mounting pole, and no need for a controller. I hope that is of use to you.
  25. Are you including Canada into Brexit? AFAIK Canada has never been a member of the EU and certainly had nothing to do with Brexit.
