  1. I would rather buy Thai made stuff rather than Chinese, but I cannot always find what I am looking for in Thai made stuff. I cannot remember the last time I bought anything from the USA, so Trump's tariffs have no effect on me.
  2. There is little we agree on. I make my posts on what I feel and I try not to change my opinions. My opinion on Trump and his policies has not changed over the years. I disliked him from the start many years ago and did not trust him then. However since the last election, when he was voted in by more electors that the Democrats I have accepted that. However IMHO, the US electorate perhaps did not realise what they will be getting, and they along with the rest of the world, may sadly regret that decision over the next 4 years.
  3. Perhaps the thief could have sold his motorbike to pay off his debt. And, NO, he wasn't FORCED to borrow money from loan sharks.
  4. One elected position out of 47 contested is a significant victory? 2.12765% is significant? They won a much bigger % at the national election, and still couldn't form the coalition government.
  5. Gaza does NOT belong to Trump or to the USA, nor even, though they don't believe it, does it belong to Israel. It belongs to the Palestinian people ONLY. They are the ones who should decide its fate, and no other country. Imagine if the native Americans decided that the USA belonged to them and to them only, and all the later immigrants must go back to their own countries. Do you think that Trump would give in to that?
  6. If most Thai people voted for Pita and the peoples party, why did they not win an overall majority at the last general election? Why did they only end up with seat at the PAO elections yesterday? Perhaps most of the Thai people didn't vote for Pita and the PP after all, as you claim.
  7. How odd. I have a UK passport but my address is in Thailand since 2001. I have had no problems with Wise in the last 5 years when transferring money from the UK to Thailand. Snipped from the OP. Again I was denied and called the WISE people who told me that I now need a physical address in the USA and that it cannot be a “mailbox”. I asked about who was behind this regulation and they sent me an email that the “Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FCEN) was behind this new requirement. My concern as a US Citizen is the “whats next” question? Are they working on cancellation of overseas living or retirement? Will they cancel my Citizenship and therefore my Social Security because I don’t own a home in the US anymore? Quite disturbing Perhaps the problem is in the USA under the "new" regime, and not with Wise at all, but with the “Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FCEN).
  8. Please tell the entire world what comments ex President Biden made about the incident, I am sure that the world is as eager to hear your words as I am. Trump only occupies a miniscule amount of my world. Judging by the number of your posts on this thread alone. he seems to occupy ALL of your world.
  9. Yes it IS Trump's fault. If he said nothing, then the media would have nothing to say about him. I can remember this old saying, The full saying is, "It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt," which is often attributed to Abraham Lincoln, meaning that sometimes it's better to stay silent even if it makes you seem uninformed rather than speak and potentially reveal a lack of knowledge.
  10. And what song did you mention? There are at least 3 versions of the song plus another going back to 1844. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Dandy_(song) "Jim Dandy" (sometimes known as "Jim Dandy to the Rescue") is a song written by Lincoln Chase, and was first recorded by American R&B singer LaVern Baker on December 21, 1955.[1] It reached the top of the R&B chart[2] and #17 on the pop charts in the United States. The song is about a man (Jim Dandy) who rescues women from improbable or impossible predicaments.[2] It proved popular enough that Chase wrote a second song for Baker entitled "Jim Dandy Got Married."[2] The American English term jim-dandy for an outstanding person or thing predates the song; first attested in 1844, it may itself come from the title of an old song, "Dandy Jim of Caroline". Other recorded versions Ann-Margret recorded a version on her 1962 album The Vivacious One.[11] The song is the B-side to James Reyne's 1989 single, "One More River".[12] https://www.collinsdictionary.com/us/dictionary/english/jim-dandy#:~:text=Definition of 'jim-dandy'&text=1.,excellent%3B very pleasing jim-dandy (ˈdʒɪmˈdændi) US, Informal, Obsolete noun 1. an excellent or very pleasing person or thing adjective 2. excellent; very pleasing Webster’s New World College Dictionary, 4th Edition. 11. SOP for Trump. After all he lied over 30,000 times when he was in charge the last time. Why would he change now? Leopards don't change their spots in their lifetime.
  12. Who has no idea of the qualifications needed and required to be an ATC controller. Would it be OK with you if the local road sweeper or dog catcher came up with the same view? After all they are not qualified either.
  13. How about here? 17 hours ago, Hawaiian said: Jim Dandy, in this case CP, to the rescue.
  14. Then prove that he is wrong. Your unsupported statement is meaningless without proof and links.
  15. It does not bother me in the slightest if the pilot or co-pilot is male or female, as long as that person is fully qualified on the aircraft type. This is an AI overview The number of female airline pilots is growing, but they still make up a small percentage of all airline pilots. CAPA - Centre for Aviation Show all https://www.airwaysmag.com/legacy-posts/country-highest-female-pilots DALLAS — For years, women have broken barriers and made an impact in occupations that were once deemed to be the sole domain of men. One such field is commercial aviation. While the number of female pilots has been steadily growing over the past few decades, there are still fairly few women who hold Commercial Pilot Licenses (CPL) across the globe. According to the International Society of Women Airline Pilots (ISA) 2021 study, less than 6% of pilots worldwide are women. In the lead-up to International Women's Day, Air India (AI), Air India Express (IX), and AirAsia India (I5) have flown 90 all-woman crew flights since March 1. The number 90 was chosen in honor of the 90th anniversary of JRD Tata's first commercial flight, according to a statement released by the group. There are some countries where the number of female commercial pilots is higher than others. India takes the top spot, with more than twice the global average of women pilots. Today, we will scour the country with the highest number of female commercial pilots and explore what aspects contribute to this trend. As per recent statistics, there are over 1,200 female pilots in India, and around 10% of them are commercial pilots. This figure may not seem very high, but it is significant when compared to other countries. In the United States, only around 5% of commercial pilots are women, which is less than the international average. There is more information in the link/
  16. They must be very well hidden then, For every transaction between Wise and Bangkok Bank, Wise tell me what it will cost, how long it will take and what the forex rate will be, and they are spot on every time. I also get a better rate than the official mid rate forex that BKK quote on their official forex rate website (which has been down for the last 2 or 3 days). I do a daily forex rate check Between KBank, BKK bank, Wise and XE and though XE is better sometimes, Wise wins out in the long term.
  17. Neither do I. So show me where I insulted you.
  18. How sad. CP. A monopoly group in Thailand seeking to buy another monopoly, and you think it is a good idea. It is long past time that ALL monopoly groups in Thailand are broken up.
  19. That is probably why he was selected.
  20. So why did you bother to post, if you don't want to talk about it?
  21. I doubt that the army has the power to interfere any more, especially as the majority of the troops in Bangkok are now under the control of the Kings Guards, and their loyalty is to a much higher person, than a bunch of generals.
  22. Thus speaks a supporter of illegal military coups. Democracy anyone?
