Kamala Harris' Media Absence Defended: Adviser Cites Busy Schedule
billd766 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Unlike your hero Trump, she IS out every day talking to people to people face to face and NOT in a studio talking to 2 or 3 carefully selected talking heads, who offer carefully selected and scripted questions. -

Is that anything like the hate that you spew out every day against her? -
Kamala Harris' Media Absence Defended: Adviser Cites Busy Schedule
billd766 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
She is hiding from the public so well she is actually meeting them face to face instead of in a studio talking to a few carefully selected media talking heads as Trump is doing, whilst he is babbling away endlessly about Haitians in Springfield eating cats, dogs and other pets and talking about the election being rigged against him by the Democrats and the media. Meanwhile Vance is faithfully following in his masters footsteps by telling lies every day. -
Drive (a bar girl) from Pattaya to Burriam. Help.
billd766 replied to advancebooking's topic in Pattaya
If you can log into Google Earth you should be able to locate the start point and the lady can give you and end point in Buriram as the end point. That will give you a route and the rough timing as it will depend a lot on your start time and also the weather. Heavy rain will probably slow you down a bit for safety. If you are still stuck then send me a PM and I will see if I can sort a route out for you. -
And she was a Thai Buddhist, which is not quite the same religion. It started from the same roots 2,500 plus years ago, but like the Christian religion it split and divided many centuries ago. For example, Buddhists in Sri Lanka allow women to become nuns and they can go all the way up as monks can and they have their own Sangha. However, in Thailand they cannot as the Thai Sangha will not allow it.

But that is only the opinion of 1 person. Now unless that 1 person has contacted and questioned the great number of the "silent majority" in a poll, AND published the questions and the results, then that is all it is. One persons opinion.

Thailand to borrow 2.59 trillion baht for 2025 budget

Debt is debt no matter which way you look at it. It has to be repaid whichever way you look at it, and it costs more money than you borrowed, including interest to repay it. -
Krabi mother scammed twice while trying to bail out son
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Which is fine if you are from the West where corruption is far less, it is also fine if you are in Thailand with piles of money. It is not so fine if you are a poor Thai in Thailand where the judiciary and the police are far more corrupt and have the power to throw you in jail as well. If I assume that she only earns 150 baht per day which is quite easy, then instead of going to the bank or a loan shark for a loan, she may have borrowed from family or friends. Being poor in Thailand is not the same as being poor in the West, where the police and the judiciary are more honest and support from the governments is more easily available. -
Thank you.

Firstly, I would have to buy a Kindle reader which is fine IF I only want to read books, but it is of no use if I want to do anything else on it. Secondly I would have to convert all of my existing Ebooks to the Kindle format. As I have over 6,xxx authors and some 20,xxx books in Mobi format in My Ebook library already, It would take me months of 8 hour days, 5 days a week to do. My pc screen is 24 inches and I can adjust the print size easily. Thank you fot your though but I think I will stay as I am. I am clearing down my Ebook library and only keeping Mobi format as well as deleting all the other formats and deleting duplicate books and authors. I have been doing that for the last 5 years, on and off, and I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel.

iPhone 16 Launch Draws Large Crowds in Thailand
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I have no idea as I haven't really lived there since 1992. I believe that having a sense of humour in the UK is banned now and has replaced by wokeism. Political jokes however are permitted, which is one reason why the Tories lost and Labour won. -
iPhone 16 Launch Draws Large Crowds in Thailand
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Why would I bother to do that. My mobile phone is mostly used for phone calls, SMS and playing the odd game while I wait in the hospital to see the doctor. It is also very useful using both Google Search for an item that I am trying to get from a shop or Google Translate when I can't explain something in a shop or a business. Sometimes a picture IS worth a thousand words especially in another language. -

I have a Samsung AO4 that cost about 6,000 baht. I only bought that because my old phone died, My time between buying a new phone depends on how long they last before they die and I need another one. Usually 5 or 6 years. -

Over priced, certainly, over hyped, definitely, rubbish not so much. It does just the same job as an ordinary smart phone that comes in at half the price or less. The people that rush to buy them are simply showing off, and will never use most of the functions anyway. -

Close. Perhaps you should have looked up Boy George, here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MdOYG4SZjM I always thought that he was a bit "different", but I did enjoy his music. -
Wise removes Long Stay Reason on Transfers

That is what I think also but I would like to be sure, not only for my sake, but for the IO when I do my next extension at the end of July next year. I will update my post later on Monday afternoon. -
Thailand to borrow 2.59 trillion baht for 2025 budget
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Luckily for me I got rid of all my credit cards years ago and I just have debit cards only. If I order something using them it will be rejected if there are not enough funds available. A brutal but effective way of staying out of debt. -
Wise removes Long Stay Reason on Transfers
billd766 replied to bastco's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have just done 2 transfers from my Wise UK account to my Thai BBK account using my pc and the UK Wise website. The first was using the "personal funds" code, and the 2nd was using the the "other" code. Both will be paid out on Monday afternoon, but until then I won't know if they were an international transfer or not. -

I use Wise from the UK and the funds for long term stay option. I have done for 5 years and it works without a problem every time. The funds arrive in my BBK account the next day unless it is sent on a Friday evening, when it arrives on a Monday just after 2pm or the next banking day if there is a Thai Bank or public holiday. -

I am a bit confused. Why would and country borrow money to repay debt? Surely all you end up with is a bigger debt. The way out of that debt trap is to borrow more money to repay THAT debt. Now me, I would have thought that the best way out of debt is to cut back on spending, borrow NO money, and repay what you owe,
