  1. And what would you suggest should happen to ALL the generals involved in a military coup, who steal the entire country?
  2. Covid was a while ago and I can remember back to 1993 when I first came to Thailand to work. What was in the part now is still in the past. If Prayuth was such a great leader as you claim, why was he not a member of ANY winning political party, why did he NOT get enough votes to be elected as an MP. After all the UTN was created especially for him to become elected and become the PM. That didn't turn out so well did it? Come out of the stolen past, and into the real present and the uncertain future of Thailand.
  3. Perhaps a good whack across the forearm of his elbow with a billy club might teach him not to hit a policeman.
  4. Pattaya flooded again? What happened to all of the hundreds of thousands of baht< given by central government to stop this happening? Perhaps questions should be asked by local residents, of the local Pattaya government as to why Pattaya is flooded yet again.
  5. They can demand what they like. The best way is to form a political party, stand at the next election and see how many seats you actually win and proceed from there. Demanding that the PM resign is easy compared to running the entire country, which is something that these protestors fail to understand. You are then responsible for the care and welfare of some 70 million people.
  6. There are some posters who believe that most drugs are harmless and that they should all be legal, though alcohol and tobacco are dangerous to peoples health and should be banned. There is at least 1 poster on the Bangkok Post forum that believes this. I am sad, because the neighbours did not seem to report this at all. Poor child.
  7. I suspect that should apply to Hun Manet also.
  8. I hope that she wins her case, is re instated as PM, and that she then has the CC and EC investigated along with all the senators who started this off.
  9. I had not noticed, nor do I care. What I have noticed is that you keep coming back to a so called click bait thread.
  10. However, law abiding retirees usually follow the laws of the country that they are staying in.
  11. That is a good, simple and easy plan, but perhaps to easy and simple for some posters.
  12. But there will always be somebody who will find a way to complain about some minor insignificant point
  13. Still trying to divert the topic I see.
  14. There is nothing silly in the post. The OP is talking about Immigration in Thailand, NOT the UK. Please stop your silly posts about the UK. It has nothing o do with the OP topic, so stop trying to divert the topic.
  15. Actually ALL political parties and ALL the courts need to respect the results, plus the red/yellow shirts, the ultra royalists plus the senate and the house/
  16. And the military should NEVER ever hold a coup again. Every coup is treason against the elected government.
  17. So a person who was once an illegal immigrant to the USA, who has never stood for an election to ANY public office has decided to ignore the public who voted the senators and congressmen into their position, snip from the OP "They will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth." Who voted him to be the Grand Poo Bah to decide what other people should think and do?
  18. If you make your own bread, you can choose what kind of flour, oil etc you want to put into it. You may have to search around to find what you need. It will most probably e more expensive than the stuff that you can normally buy in shops and supermarkets, but it will depend on how mush bread you eat daily and and much money and time you are willing to spend making your own bread. Generally speaking the last lot of bread I made took about 4 hours and was only white bread. Organic, stone ground, whole wheat flour from Australia was close on 300 thb per 1kg. I used a small stand mixer, a table top oven, a plastic 5 litre mixing bowl (for the bread to rise twice) and 2 small loaf tins and that made about 1.2kg of bread dough. Recipes are freely available on the internet. The cost may be higher if you use imported flours from the internet.
  19. The voters in the UK for example don't vote for a PM either, They vote for a political party, and the party that gains the most seats overall, then selects the PM from its own ranks, just as happens in Thailand.
  20. Which were NOT enough votes to form a government, majority or coalition. BTW do you own the PP?
  21. In a democracy you vote for a political party. The party that forms the government then chooses the PM. The voters ONLY vote for a political party. Yes, you must have been sleeping.
  22. Prayuth was far worse. He stoke the entire country at gun point. That is NOT democracy.
  23. But the Peoples Party did NOT have a majority of the seats, so they could NOT form a government, and no other party wanted to join a coalition with them. Don;t you have ANY idea of how democracy works?
