This forum changed its name a few years ago. Back in 2003 when I joined the forum it was called the Thai Visa Forum and is probably still called that by some of the older members, such as me.

If you read these forums regularly you will find the most of the problems (though not all of them) are concentrated in the areas of most tourism, such as Pattaya, Phuket, the southern islands, but rarely elsewhere. Most of the farangs of all nationalities living outside of these areas cause few if any problems. They are generally married to Thai ladies and have families of their own, or are retired. They get on well with their Thai neighbours and cause no problems for anyone. If you stay with the forum you will find that the majority of posters are normal, some are pedantic, some are grammar nasties and some are simply not worth bothering with.

But it does free up sticky or stuck drive spindles. -
Fan stopped working, can I buy a new capacitor

I still have the skill and the tools to fix many things. It is my 80 year old body and slowly failing eyesight that is letting me down nowadays. -

When I take the fans down to clean them, I usually give the motor spindle a few squirts of WD 40. -
A quote snipped from the OP. "The protest, organized by Robinson, aimed to call for the resignation of Met Police Chief Sir Mark Rowley, whom Robinson accused of overseeing a "two-tier policing" system in London. The event drew a significant crowd, some of whom had been previously linked to "football violence" and anti-lockdown protests, according to the Met Police. As the demonstrators marched down Millbank, some set off smoke flares and air horns, creating a chaotic atmosphere".

British Pensioner Struggles with Frozen Pension in Thailand

If you know of a better link then please post it. All I did was a simple search and came up with that link. I didn't write the policy, the UK government did. If you have a problem then they are the people to tell. If you have a better link, then post it and prove them wrong. However, what you have posted is only your word and your opinion, and you have not backed it up in anyway. Why would anybody accept your unsupported word? I have no idea if the link and article are correct. My State pension was frozen in 2009 as I expected it to be. Far better and more knowledgeable people have been trying for decades to get it changed and have not succeeded. -

According to the UK SWP site here https://www.gov.uk/new-state-pension/what-youll-get#:~:text=The full rate of new,Insurance qualifying years you have the basic weekly pension rate is he full rate of new State Pension is £221.20 a week. Your amount could be different depending on: if you were contracted out before 2016 the number of National Insurance qualifying years you have if you paid into the Additional State Pension before 2016 Which comes to 884.80 every 4 weeks so he wasn't far off. Still, if you know differently, just put the link up. -
Buddhist teacher kills neighbour over grass cutting noise
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
According to many people. How many people see it like you? 1, 10. 50. 100. 500, 1,000. Your figures are meaningless without confirmation How many people is many people, and where is everywhere? I could claim that hundreds of thousands of people don't have any problems and I would ne correct, and also meaningless. but that is perhaps that they live in condos where they have no grass. Even in condos, people have neighbours -

I assume that you are speaking for yourself, and NOT for everybody else That may be where YOU are, but that is not the whole of Thailand. -

One compared to the much larger number of whiners, moaners and complainers. -
I have been using Wise since 2018 and my money has always arrived in BKK bank +/- a couple of minutes of the time Wise has quoted.
-
The reason is that Monday 3rd June is the Thai Queen's birthday, and a Thai bank holiday. I just did a transfer with Wise and because I sent it as Funds for long term stay in Thailand I wasn't expecting it until Monday afternoon anyway.

Excessive tourism could jeopardize Koh Larn's future
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Before you allow ant extra visitors, start spending YOUR accumulated profits from past years on updating water, sewage, garbage etc infrastructure. Do NOT keep begging central government for more money, They have to run the whole of Thailand and NOT just some tiny money grabbing island out to make money for itself. -
Trump Vows to Crush Pro-Palestinian Protests if Re-Elected
billd766 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
As usual you are talking rubbish. I am not and never have been a supporter of Hamas. Of the Palestinian people, I am 100% a supporter. However to a blinkered Zionist genocidal supporter there is NO difference between a Hamas terrorist and an innocent Palestinian man, woman, child or a baby. The Zionists want to kill them all, and then they wonder why the majority of the world dislikes them. -

A much better plan than leaving them to slaughtered by Israel and the IDF. If any innocent people die or are injured, you can always rely on Netanyahu to say that it was a "tragic error", and most probably EX president Trump to open his mouth and agree with Netanyahu and his murderous Zionist war cabinet.
