Can YOU see and predict exactly what the future will be in 20 years time, or even what will be happening in the next week. I can remember what the forex rate was for the Thai baht. From 1993 it has varied from as low at 37 to as high as 95 baht to the GBP. Could YOU have predicted that? Did YOU or the majority of the world see Covid coming? Where even if you wanted to, you were not even allowed to fly back to your own country. The stupid person here is YOU. You can make a plan and a budget, and then you have to change it simply because circumstances beyond your control change. Can you predict the exact time and date of your death? Will you live to be 60, 70, 80, 90 or even 100 or more. How long do you plan to live, and how will your plan be affected if you live for a longer or shorter period. What happens to your master plan, if you are involved in a car crash and have to spend the rest of your life in an ICU?

I can still do ladders though normally no higher than 3 treads. I did 4 treads this morning but I was definitely unhappy about that. For instructions I normally scan them into my computer and increase the text size. In settings I have already increased from 100% to 125% as my standard and sometimes to 150% and even 175% for some texts. It is an age thing and gets to most people in time.

If you read these forums regularly you will find the most of the problems (though not all of them) are concentrated in the areas of most tourism, such as Pattaya, Phuket, the southern islands, but rarely elsewhere. Most of the farangs of all nationalities living outside of these areas cause few if any problems. They are generally married to Thai ladies and have families of their own, or are retired. They get on well with their Thai neighbours and cause no problems for anyone. If you stay with the forum you will find that the majority of posters are normal, some are pedantic, some are grammar nasties and some are simply not worth bothering with.
