Because the land it exists on was actually occupied by other people. It's not generally acceptable now for old white men to take land on the other side of the world off one lot of people and give it to another lot without the agreement of the people that already live on the land. However, that happened quite a lot early last century, and still happens, unfortunately ( does Diego Garcia ring any bells? ). The usual reaction is for the people that had their land stolen to fight back, in any way they can. As has happened in Palestine.

I don't know where this "Russia will take over ( all of ) Ukraine" comes from. Putin was barely able to take what he's got, and he never lasted this long by being a fool that would try and take all of Ukraine. BTW, the nurses and ambulances drivers in the UK are likely still not paid what they are worth because all the money got sent to Ukraine. All that ammunition costs a lot of money and it's the taxpayer providing it, not Santa.

I said right from the start that Ukraine would lose. Not a question of wanting them to lose, but regarding Zelenski as a useful fool for bad western people that wanted to punish Russia without getting their hands dirty. They played him like a muppet, IMO. Pity about all the dead Ukrainians.

Thais have loads of different smiles that they use. The smile she gave you- I very much doubt that it indicated that she was ready willing and able to get involved with some random farang that just wanted a free bedmate. I don't think they are that desperate.

You seem to think it will all go one way, but reality says that for every regime member assassinated, expect a few of your own to be targeted. That sort of thing is why civilised countries don't go around blowing up other countries consulates.

Unless I am mistaken I said no such thing. I do think the west encouraged Zelensky to bait the bear in hopes of punishing Putin without getting themselves involved- better for Ukrainians to die than Americans and all that. I also think they underestimated Russia ( just like Napoleon and Hitler ), and have found themselves stuck in a war they can't afford, but can't let go of. The one talking malarkey is the president ( as usual ). If their intent had been to get as many of [the drones and missiles] through Israel’s defenses as possible they would have sent a lot more than a measly 300. More like 3,000, which would have overwhelmed israeli defenses by sheer numbers. Anyone that has the slightest bit of military knowledge knows that 300 is nothing, and also knows that israel's multi layered defenses would have no problem dealing with most of them. However, keep believing the propaganda by all means.

Now that the warmonger netanyahu is promising retaliation on Iran, Iran will likely not be tardy in responding to it, and so the game of death expands. If the next attack by Iran involves 3,000 UAVs and causes thousands of deaths in israel, perhaps your man may regret the consulate attack, but perhaps not.

Irrelevant. The consulate was on Iranian territory. An attack on it was an attack on Iran.

IMO, it's clear that israel is vulnerable to any attack with enough UAVs. Well done netanyahu- by attacking Iranian territory in Damascus he has exposed the israeli soft underbelly to any that want to see. Seems he lives in the past when the threat came from massive land attack, but as Ukraine and now Iran prove, the threat is from cheap UAVs en mass. As the west has come to depend on very expensive high tech air defense, the cost of such a defense against cheap UAVs is prohibitive. Perhaps some clever people in the west have realised that and are trying to develop cheap laser defense systems, but they are some way off yet.

Excellent post, but I disagree with Some say he is a bear that shouldn't have been poked by Ukraine's attempts to join both NATO and the EU - he doesn't want NATO or the EU on his borders. That doesn't make sense to me as he already has a small border with NATO and if he is allowed to take Ukraine, he will not only have a bigger border with NATO, he will have more EU neighbours. IMO it is obvious that he does not want all of Ukraine, as he could never control that much territory. What he wants is what he has already, plus a Ukraine without NATO between Russia and NATO border. From what I read on here, that was the agreement some years ago, but that was forgotten when noises were made by IMO idiots that Ukraine should join NATO. America risked nuclear war to stop Russia putting missiles into Cuba, and now it seems America wants to put missiles into Ukraine. What could possibly go wrong with that IMO barking idea? The solution, well maybe for another 80 years or so, probably is another World War. Pretty sad really, seeing as humans are supposed to be the most intelligent species. I love guns, and I don't like criminals. If it was a better country I'd like to live in the US, where if someone breaks into my house I can legally shoot them. Where I live, if someone broke into my house and stabbed my wife and children to death and I hit them with an axe, I'd probably end up in jail while he would get off as he had a deprived childhood. They don't like us protecting ourselves. We have to let them attack us and the police will come around later and fill out a form for their files. Perhaps that isn't entirely true, but it sure seems like it is.

At least we try not to insult people we don't know. It's things like that that confirm my belief that the modern world is <deleted> and the sooner humanity is an ex species the better. It'll allow a more polite species that isn't destroying it's environment to evolve.

Monty Python was great. Lots of great humour came from men that had served during the war. I guess humour was the only thing that helped them survive. Perhaps that is why there is no decent comedy now that that generation has passed.

Forever unknown are how many died because the wrong propellant was mandated.

Hmmmmm. Perhaps I'm wrong and condoms don't stop transmissions of STDs, but I'm pretty sure that not having unprotected casual sex works pretty well in stopping transmission of them. Also stops unwanted pregnancies. All good.
