I don't know enough about Judaism to know if their religion allows for the killing of innocents and mass starvation etc. I'm certain that western leaders supporting israel are not abiding by Christian beliefs. I know that some people use Islam to justify their terrorism, but IMO that is not part of Islam and it's like the inquisition using Christianity to do terrible things that were completely against Christianity.

It's like they are so arrogant that they think they can say anything and get away with it, forgetting that lots and lots of other countries read or hear what they say and draw conclusions from it. In situations like this, words are important.

I'm aware that there is a great deal of crime in LOS, but it rarely affects farangs or tourists, and this is a forum for farangs and tourists. To be precise, I felt safer in LOS than I ever did in London.

I think that is tongue in cheek, but IMO the time is coming when governments will be forced to allow voluntary euthanasia. It's just not going to be possible to find enough working people to care for the aged, and the standard of care for those that don't have lots of money will be abysmal. It's already bad ( I know people that work in that industry ), short staffed, underpaid, demoralised. I just hope they let us off ourselves painlessly before I get sent to one of the gulags for the elderly.

IMO the Iranian response was the intended outcome of the attack on the consulate. IMO Netanyahu needed a deflection from Gaza and he has succeeded in that. No, but I have no hope that humans will ever become civilised and stop killing each other. As I see it we will just keep killing each other till we manage to invent a weapon that really kills us all. As one that volunteered to go to Vietnam ( I was just lucky it ended for us before I went ) and kill boys I didn't know as part of the Great Game between America and Russia, I can't claim to be any sort of saint, but we all get fooled sometime.
