Biden slams Trump for Capitol riot in 2024 campaign speech
thaibeachlovers replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
Pity that Biden apparently has nothing positive to say as to why voters should elect him, and instead just attacks the opponent, who is apparently doing better than him in polls. Perhaps that is all Biden has. Southern border- chaos Israel/ Gaza conflict- not going well for Biden Regional war in the ME- not looking good so far Ukraine- not going well for Biden Afghanistan- fiasco withdrawal Inflation- not doing well National debt- not looking good Immigration reform- nothing on that as yet If there are any positives, I'm sorry but I can't think of any off hand. -
Prince Andrew 'spent weeks' at Epstein home - witness
thaibeachlovers replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
Oh, that'll do it. Let's just take Andrew out and hang him! That's like saying every farang that ever stayed in Pattaya had sex with bar girls, which would be a nonsense. Is Alessi charged with managing a residence in which nefarious activities have been reported to have taken place? -
Deflection. Topic is Biden.

Netanyahu rejects claims accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza
thaibeachlovers replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Israel
Given I spent many years working in the ME, that can hardly apply to me, and you will not find any post from me supporting the Hamas attack, though I have posted the reasons the attack happened, something rather lacking, IMO, from your side of the equation, as if Hamas just decided to go and murder a lot of people for no reason at all. -
Netanyahu rejects claims accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza
thaibeachlovers replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Israel
As the Secretary General of the UN said, the attack did not happen in a vacuum, but you and the others that support Israel killing 20 thousand innocent Palestinians ( all the ones that are not in Hamas ) refuse to acknowledge the oppression, collective punishment, land theft and the blockade of Gaza that led to the attack in the first place. As for "the worst most horrific terrorist attack on innocent people the world has ever seen" I'm sure there are a few more in mankind's history that might qualify for that description. -
Donald Trump blocked from Maine presidential ballot in 2024

anything to say that's on topic? -
I don't think Biden has done well on anything. IMO the southern border is a disaster ( wasn't Harris supposed to fix that? ), IMO the Afghan withdrawal was a fiasco, inflation isn't solved, I understand, IMO he is supporting a vile regime in the Middle East, IMO he is threatening to expand the war in the Middle East, apparently the national debt increases by leaps and bounds, IMO his policy on Ukraine is failing, despite wasting billions on it. If he's achieved anything, I'm not aware of it.

Netanyahu rejects claims accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza
thaibeachlovers replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Israel
Just wondering though, seeing a half a dozen or more members here who are very passionately adamant and resolute with their point of view on Israel and the Palestinians and the war in Gaza, has anyone been able to convince others, or has anyone 'saw the light'and changed their POV because of the relentless fiery posts here?... -
They just can't help themselves and why be accurate when it sounds so much worse to describe 17 year old girls as pathetic unable to make decision themselves numpties?

Do you believe in God and why
thaibeachlovers replied to ivor bigun's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Won't be anyone saying what they thought about me as I pollute the atmosphere. I have instructed my family that they are not to have an after burn nosh up, which means no one will turn up to pretend to care. I have never attended the funeral of any family member that I remember. I may have been present when my brother was buried alongside his grandparents, but I remember nothing of it. I was always in another country for the rest. -

I listen to the lyrics a lot now, but many songs are really sad. Take Blunt's Carry me home. For a long time I thought it was about leaving a loved GF, but it's actually about losing a young daughter to death. As a less sad aside, when Elvis sang "Return to sender" I wondered why he was singing "Return to Zenda" a popular book at the time! -

Of course I remember that song well, but I never listened to the words at the time. Music was just the background to my life, not my life. Also, there was no way to see the words as we can now. -

Is it a picture book with words or a story with pictures? I hope you post it as it progresses. The pictures look great. -

At this stage of my life you could call me anything as long as I got my end away. Sadly I think I'm condemned to be a celibate ( is that a gender in our brave new world? ). Hmmmmm. Celibate needs only the letter r to mean something happy. Is celibacy almost something to celebrate? -
