I've been watching a Jewish protest in the US Capitol demanding a ceasefire, on Al Jazeera. The irony is wonderful. Meanwhile the US has vetoed ( the only one to vote against ) the latest UN security council resolution. The US officially has still not called for a ceasefire or even restraint by israel. Just hearing that humanitarian aid is going to be allowed into Gaza through the Egyptian controlled crossing, but ONLY 20 trucks. That isn't enough for one day! Hundreds of trucks are waiting in Egypt. Shame on them.

Given you and I have similar viewpoints on different subjects than israel I do not wish to put you on ignore, but I will not be responding to your posts concerning israel.

I also pray it will happen, but I think I'm praying for something different to yourself.

Are you aware that israel is killing women and children indiscriminately? Over 1,000 dead Palestinian children and counting. How does that fit your narrative? Who are the terrorists now?

Carry on regardless. More and more people are turning against israel because of everything else the israelis have been doing, so whether the hospital bombing was by israel or Palestinians makes no difference now. 500 dead is dwarfed by the number of dead Palestinians by PROVEN israeli bombs, including over 1,000 dead children. israel will never be forgiven for this conflict. The world has been watching and they don't like what israel has been doing.

At this stage it doesn't make a difference which side was actually responsible. The way israel has behaved and is behaving means that many will automatically blame israel, regardless of the truth. So many countries have condemned israel and so many people are now against israel that even if Moses appeared with evidence that it was a Palestinian rocket no one against israel would change their mind and say "OK we were wrong, carry on bombing children to bits". The tide of world opinion is turning against the israelis, and hopefully a return to israeli oppression of Palestinians will never be allowed.

Good news for Gaza. The longer congress has no speaker is the longer they can't help israel.

Oh so true! Biden's recent shambolic performance in israel must be an embarrassment to every American. He could barely speak coherently, IMO. He just looks so OLD. As long as he is the Dem's preferred candidate, IMO even a real elephant can win.

Don't know about pausing the war, but it's been sidelined by the Gaza conflict. Zelenski must be feeling a cold breeze seeing as how easily the news media abandoned them for a different conflict. I wonder if the US will have any munitions left to give them after sending loads to israel.

Then he is apparently saying that every male in Gaza is going to be killed, as after the one sided attacks blowing over a thousand children to bits it is probable that every adult male in Gaza is now Hamas and every boy is going to want to join Hamas when they get old enough. The israelis believe in an eye for an eye, and it's going to come back to haunt them. The israelis can win militarily in Gaza, as they can just bomb or shell any resistance into oblivion, thanks to the US ( apparently ) giving them more bombs and shells to do so. However, they will, IMO, lose the aftermath, as the world will turn against them. The world is already turning against them with large protests in Japan, the Phillippines and India, not forgetting every Muslim country. Protests in the US congress, and outside the ICC in the Hague with a sea of Palestinian flags. ( as seen on Al Jazeera ).

Exaggeration or not, it has galvanised many countries to condemn israel, and caused a snub to biden ( and America ) by a meeting cancellation. I'm even watching ( on Al Jazeera ) a pro Palestinian protest ( including Jews ) in the US congress building calling for a ceasefire. Seems the carefully crafted message that ALL Americans support israel is falling apart. IMO it's not going to end well for israel, even if they reduce Gaza to a wasteland.

As pointed out by a guest on Al Jazeera, how many rockets do the resistance in Gaza posses that can do that much damage? I've been watching netanyahu and biden saying it's all the Palestinian's doing, but IMO every word that comes out of their mouths is a lie. BTW, it was excellent to see the Arab nations snub biden over the conference he was supposed to attend, which they cancelled. Turns out that trip was just a waste of jet fuel.

Seems to me that israel may win the "battle" ( it's not really a battle as that implies 2 sides able to fight but this is a one sided conflict where the israelis bomb Gaza with impunity, so it's just a slaughter ), but will lose the war. The longer it goes on, the more people all around the world will turn against israel, and if the israelis don't let aid in and thousands die of starvation, or wounds, they won't just be talking, like that useless mob in the UN, they will be taking action. It's ironic that for decades most of the world has ignored the israeli/ Palestinian conflict, and allowed israel to oppress a people, but by this slaughter they are waking the world up to the injustice of it all, and they don't like it one little bit. netanyahu thinks he's winning, but he's only looking in the mirror.

I would prefer not to be born in 2024 at all, or any other time on this planet, but if I had to be it would be female. However, no man would ever touch me. Lesbianism is the way to go. AI will probably not eliminate humans unless the military is stupid enough to make autonomous killing machines. What AI will do is eliminate manual jobs throwing billions onto hard times. I doubt he could. I've been watching Al Jazeera and they have said zero along the lines that the attack came from Gaza. The israeli disinformation machine is IMO working overtime on this one, as it looks really bad for israel.
