Ronald McDonald could have won if Harris hadn't been inserted. Trump was IMO viewed as the least worse choice, not as a better candidate. I'm not complaining as we'd all be screwed if Harris had won. We had a narrow escape from Obama version 3. Talking of Obama, hopefully, after dismally failing to get his choice into the W H, we have seen and heard the last from that man.

Trump is still functioning mentally. The signs were there with Biden from the start, but his handlers did such a good job, no one was alarmed, till the debate, when the Dems went into full meltdown mode. You may not like what he does, but millions will.

People in their 40s or 50s probably want to feed at the taxpayer trough for many more years. Losing ( or even winning ) the presidency would likely end a future in politics, IMO. I'm guessing, but JFK probably came from a time when people became statesmen and were more than swamp creatures warming a seat for a lifetime. He certainly warmed hearts all over the world with his vision of a better world, unlike those that came after.

That's common in third world countries. In Saudi they treat camels badly ( I visited the camel market to know ) before killing them for food. If you want to justify inflicting great pain for long periods on whales because animals get clubbed to death in Thailand you have a flexible view of cruelty, IMO. If first world countries kill animals for food they should do so more humanely than primitive people.
