Countries unwilling to provide their own defense have only themselves to blame if it all goes wrong for them. If they can't buy loads of missiles, it doesn't cost a lot to train the citizens as a guerilla force.

Should not have trusted any western country. Britain was just as untrustworthy in the past as the US is today when it comes to such things. Ask the Arabs and the Cossacks about British promises, and the Vietnamese highland tribes and the Iraqi Kurds about US trustworthiness. Not a happy record in either case.

I absolutely think the US is over by the end of the century- place is a political madhouse, and I can't see that improving. IMO their only hope is to split it into 3. California, middle America, and East coast ( less Florida ). California and east coast can keep all the illegals and descend into insignificance, while middle America survives somewhat intact.

Losing troops is not an indication that they are doing it right, and a country that calls it's troops "general issue" is not a military to emulate. In Vietnam because the Aussies and NZ troops did not use US tactics their death rate was very small in comparison.

Decades too late. The decline started on the day Johnson sent the Marines into combat in Vietnam. That war tore the US asunder and it's never recovered from the trauma. IMO.
