Over the years I stayed on every beach, but my favourite was always Than Sadet. 10 people on the sand was a busy day. Significant that it was difficult to get to which kept the louts and the day trippers away- being a National Park meant it couldn't be overdeveloped. Bottle was supposed to be great, but they ruined it with a concrete hotel in the middle of it.

Last visit was after tsunami, but all the news coming out of the place says it's just as rotten as it was back last century. If anything it's got worse.

Just as well I never mentioned swimming then. I never swam in water at Pattaya, but last century I'd go to Jomtien to swim.

Given AI when it exists ( it doesn't yet ) will be as intelligent as a human, it will be able to reproduce human emotions on screen. Anime characters already induce an emotional response in the audience and they are not even near AI capability.

Of course an AI can reproduce Brando or Pacino. It's all just pixels and AI can do anything. Perhaps cartoon characters are limited in nuance, but modern Anime characters certainly can do anything a live actor can. Graveyard of the Fireflies had the audience crying.

I watched a DVD so was able to see the extras. The flight scenes were the real deal and all the actors had to take an intensive course to be able to fly in the aircraft ( I don't think they were actually piloting the planes though ).

Watched it again last night. Perfect for a movie one doesn't have to think about, lots of action, minimal girl stuff, and if has any annoying wokeness in it I missed it.

IMO stopping terrorists was never the motivation for the wall, but an added extra. IMO it was always about stopping people just walking into the USA without documentation. BTW Israel seems to believe their wall stops terrorists. They certainly didn't build it to stop illegal immigrants.

Agree. I had a couple of those incidents, and both completely unjustified, by arrogant <deleted> Sgt Majors. Considering I was a corporal at the time and they did so in front of junior ranks they were out of order, but sod all that a lowly cpl could do about it. BS like that was why I resigned and the thousands of $ they invested in my training were lost to the military. The problem with the military wasn't the life style ( loved it ) but some of the morons that rose to senior ranks.

He should do so without rubbishing his own family. They are not the royals for him, but his father, brother, uncles, aunts and in laws. I have lost any respect I once had for him as apparently a good leader in the army. Somewhere along the way he became a self entitled whining loser, and I have a good idea who did that to him.
