  1. Thank you for trying to help, initially I also thought the same, but when I checked my windows control panel The windows Language setting is US English, and the location is set to USA, the only thing Thai is the time zone. The issue has to be Chrome related because DuckDuckGo displays the date in their search results western calendar. I have looked int Google settings and into my personal google account but no luck so far.
  2. I normally use DuckDuckGo , and the date displayed in my search there is in the western calendar. But there is denying that google search algorithm is outstanding , and I often switch to Google , Not familiar with "Brave browser" but I am thinking that it's not ap to Google Chrome standards. I will take a look at it . Thank you!!
  3. It wasn't Everest but I did climb the highest mountain in Florida and boy was I winded .
  4. I just Used chat GPt to resolve a problem with the date format in my google chrome results, (Thai calendar rather than western) and the answer it gave me was incorrect. I could not find what it said to look for, where it said to look for and adjust. This in not the first time it gave me false information . and when I ask for the sources of the information to verify it, i forgot exactly what it said but it would not give me it's source.
  5. I have looked at all the options in settings, and search settings but so far I have been unable to change the date on my search results from the Thai calendar to a western calendar . The date in my results appears as such : Aug 18, 2565 BE Any help in resolving this problem would be highly appreciated.
  6. We buy our eggs from the Khon Kaen agricultural University outlet , last time they only had the #4 (we usually get #0) because they said they just got new young chicken for their students. 125 baht for 30 and very fresh. So if you live in the area they might be a good option, they are located on the main road right before you make the right to enter the area with the flower shops. By the way you can tell if an egg is fresh by the way it floats or does not, in water, A very fresh egg will lay on the bottom, a slightly older egg will float a little , and a stale egg will float a lot.
  7. I am sure they will probably change their minds by the next election , but thats how they feel now, and I don't blame them.
  8. Both wife and her sister said that the wont waste their time voting next time.
  9. Its unfortunate that different offices have different requirements. Here in Khon Kaen we are lucky to have a pretty efficient office. Went to there a few weeks ago to do my 90 day, I gave my passport to the reception girl and sat down to wait to be called. Five minutes later (maybe less) the receptionist walked over and gave me my passport, so I remained seated waiting to be called, she again walked over an said "It's done you can go" Had equally good experiences with all my transactions there.
  10. Three more weeks and we are out of here. See you all in October.
  11. I don't know why they even hold a general election. Even though my wife and her sister did not vote for Pita, in a conversation we had yesterday, they both said that if Pita is not PM , they are not wasting their time voting again. I am sure they are the only ones to feel that way.
  12. do you disagree with anything i wrote above?and if so how. please post links that support your opinion and stop trying to ascribe motives for what i wrote. everything i wrote is well documented. This is becoming ridiculous, Ioffer you well documented facts and you all offerme emotional opinion. This is getting stupid. You all have a good night.
  13. The timeline that led to the invasion of Ukraine from 2008 to 2022 is well documented , The west was repeatedly warned that if the west continued toward expansion of NATO into Ukraine it will be viewed by the Russians as a defector declaration of war, by many including Angela Merkel, and Present time CIA director, and at time ambassador to Russia who said in a leter to Condoles Rice. "Ukrainian entry into NATO is the brightest of all red lines for the Russian elite (not just Putin). In more than two and a half years of conversations with key Russian players, from knuckle-draggers in the dark recesses of the Kremlin to Putin’s sharpest liberal critics, I have yet to find anyone who views Ukraine in NATO as anything other than a direct challenge to Russian interests.” Burns added that it was “hard to overstate the strategic consequences” of offering Ukraine NATO membership, which, he predicted, would “create fertile soil for Russian meddling in Crimea and eastern Ukraine. " Then when Russia invaded the US was surprised. Really? Zelinsky should have never involved his country in this misadventure. He will not be viewed favorably by History.
  14. Not true the invasion of Ukraine took place in February 2022. Ukraine was invited to join NATO in 2008 , Had 5,000 troops a year trained by NATO , and participated in NATO exercises . 2021 "Ukraine began joint military exercises with U.S. and other NATO troops ... warships began large-scale live fire exercises in the Black Sea. " https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/ukraine-holds-military-drills-with-us-forces-nato-allies-2021-09-20/
  15. If they had stayed neutral Russia would never had gone in!! So what do you think would happen in the end? No NATO membership but neutrality. But in addition for Russian withdrawal there has to be some sort of Autonomy in the eastern provinces . Do you think Russia will abandon all the Ethnic Russians after all this bad blood? There are about 5 million Ethnic Russians living in these provinces. what do you think will happen to them without autonomy and or Russian protection? So if you think having at the end of a fight what you could have had to begin with, getting bloodied and losing control of part of their country is a win.. Then I don't know what losing is. I
  16. Define win? would Ukraine getting exactly what they could have had at the beginning of this conflict (no NATO membership), having the country destroyed, losing a significant number of its people, and in the process losing control of eastern provinces be a win?
  17. If they make a lot of money, you should go pen one across the street from it.. If I understand it right the 7 11 franchise does not have area market protection.
  18. Or an alternat narrative , if the facts point in that direction. Doesn't that line with with my assertion that even if half of Russia's nuclear weapons are old, the remaining half is adequate foe causing substantial damage?
  19. This is at best a very cursory explanation of a subject that would take thousands of pages to adequately explained. But I hope you apreciate my attempt. Countries in Europe are very close and heavily populated Never mind the half that are not old, Any nuclear weapon detonation in Europe would be disasters not only in human capital, but also economically. But the concept of World War" as the name implies involves more than one country. So assume that an attack on Russia by NATO ,not only happens but is successful . What do you think China's reaction would be towards having an American lead NATO in Russia and at their borders? Remember Russia is second only to Saudi Arabia by only 1% in supplying oil to China. And if the US controls the oil in Russia and maybe in Saudi Arabia where does the leave China? How do you think China would react to at worst Nato forces at their Northern border , and Japan , South Korea, and Australia NATO partners. And at best a Russia under western influence? What part did oil and area hegemony play in Japan's attack of the US? Now replace Japan with China, and I hope you see why there is a very good possibility of WW3 as it relates to the situation in Ukraine. IMO the US is the aggressor in this conflict, understandably tightening the noose around China. You don't really think the US really cares about Ukraine or believe the story to contain Russian Imperialism? Russia can not pacify Ukraine, it is laughable that the US fears Russia having imperial ambitions towards Europe. If Russia wanted to occupy Ukraine it would certainly had not gone in with less that 200,000 troops. Russia went in to prevent NATO expansion in Ukraine. Why Ukraine and not the others? Because Ukraine would open a second front to be defended , dividing Russian defence assets. This is what I think will happen. Russia will maintain the eastern Ukrainian territories as a buffer against the west. being in conflict with Ukraine for longer than you and me will be alive. Ukraine will not join NATO because to do so would bring NATO into the conflict. And the poor Ukranians will pay the price. In addition this situation was a monumental economic blunder for the US , because the freezing and confiscation of Russian assets, has brought forward the dangers of non aligned countries trading in dollars. And thus the creation of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) to create an alternative world trading currency. And don't discount the attempt, those BRICS countries comprise 41.44 percent of the world's population. A bit long winded but if you have made it to the end of this post , I hope I made the point the situation is not as simple as Russia's half nuclear weapons being old.
  20. Good questions. Since you are into questions I have one more. Why do you think the possibility for world War three does not exist? and such mention is hyperbole?
  21. I also use Nord VPN , except when I am surfing the dark web looking to buy yellow cake for my plan to dominate the world.
  22. Set a timer on your phone for 10 years, with a note to self. "don't be a a pillock " PS: I was there yesterday to apply for a credit card , and they were very professional and helpful. Then I went over to the Swensen's for ice-cream. So it pays to be a " "pillock" if you treat yourself
  23. Not sure I am happy inflation is down, I have a significant amount invested in treasuries that will be maturing in a few months . Because inflation in the US was higher I bought at 4.7% annual yield, (the yield is pegged on inflation) But if I want to roll it over I will have to do at a lower yield rate. Or look at a different low risk investment vehicle . Also My social security COLA (cost of living adjustment) is going to be a lot lower this year than last. Perhaps Joe should stop doing as good as he is with the economy, at least Until I roll my investments over. ????
