Not only have I turned int my Dad , I catch myself doing that little smug laugh he used to make. that I hated so much. He has passed away a few years now, and If I had one wish it would be to have one more day with him so I can apologies for being such an A-hole to him in my teens and twenties.

Who am I to argue with the ministry of funniness. I learned my lesson from the debate of putting one thing on top of another , when I tried to suggest that we could also put things next to each other, and now defer to the experts. It will definitely work,but it will take longer than a week. I think you will need at least three weeks. I have done the same in a patch I wanted to garden in , in the past , but it took more than a week. What are you going to do there? Are you going to cement the area?

I always slept well, when tired lay down , close my eyes and after a short time fall asleep. Simple right? The last year it seems I forgot how to fall asleep , and, stay asleep. I would wake up 3 am go to the bathroom and then not being able to fall asleep until 6 am . I have a book next to my bed to read while awake at night, I started taking Magnesium at night, B1 complex in the morning , (The B1 reduces urination frequency but take about a month before having any effect,) and about 30 minutes before sleep I take 5mg Melatonin and 50 mg Diphenhydramine (benadryl ) . I now sleep like a baby 8-9 hours and feel great.

If the whole general election thing is for show, is How could not participating in the show further empowers them? An argument can be made , that participating in a "show" election empowers them because it legitimise the proces.

True. Since most of the world uses the Metric system, I am in favor of all of us using the same system, but then there is economics and money spend . No one wants to make the initial investment and is trapped in a legacy system. Not different than the English driving on the wrong side. Can you imagine the chaos it would cause for Thailand to change the side people are used to driving on , so they are trapped into a legacy system , where most of the world drives on the right. There was a move for the US to convert to the Metric system in the seventies, but I think it was abandoned during the Reagan era because it was too expensive.

The way I understand it is that the US borrowed their format from the English from when they were an English colony. The UK changed their format to match the rest of Europe in the 20th century but we never did. I would have thought that with Brexit they would have changed back LOL

I am American but I also hold a Greek passport , and I chose to live in Thailand and only spend summers in Greece because i find life to be a lot easier in Thailand, even without having a Thai passport. I dont know why people here complain , Retired life in Thailand is pretty good IMO.

Absolutely!! We see alot of smoke upfront and wife says there must be a fire, we get there and it's a pickup truck belching black smoke. In the US it would not had made it a mile before it got pulled over.

I Need to get a rider lawn mower , About a year ago,I got a Rai property near my house where I play farmer, and cutting the grass with my self propelled walk behind lawn mower , especially now during the rainy season that the grass grows like crazy is getting a bit too much, And if you dont keep on top of it m it grows too thick and the lawn mower bogs down I love to get a zero turn lawn mower but I have not seen them here , and since they are $5-6 k in the US I can imagine what they must cost here, Anybody try to import one from China?

You are right, For some reason I thought like everything else , they were build in China or some place like that but after looking it up , I found out that they are build in Valley City, Ohio,and Martin, Tennessee, So yes there would be shipping and custom fees.

That titan zero turn is a nice rig, May I ask where in Thailand you found it In the US it sells for $ 6-7.000, what are they asking for it here? I have done a search for "Zero turn rider lawn mower for sale in Thailand" with no success .

Wow , an MTD for $3689.19 in the US it sells for $1600 less at the Home depot Troy bult, MTD and Rover are the same machine You can probably find it for a lot less on sale.
