I have been many times to this event.
Great day out.
Friday not so busy easy to get around.
Saturday busy.
Sunday packed
I believe racing starts as early as 9/10AM I have always rocked up about 12.
Never had any problems parking, I always go along the beach road as far as you can go, you will have to turn right just before the start of the Pitts. There is a car park on the left (holiday bungalows) cant remember 20/50 baht.
If you park there you are right alongside the Pitts good to look round at the beginning and end of your day, and it's not to far to the main promo area, you can walk right round the circuit if you are up for it.
Be prepared for long queues leaving at the end of the day.
Enjoy

Wow looks like they totally stuffed that Ski.
Have seen this same ski outside Mikes used to scam 50K for a pre existing scratch.
That is gona be uber expensive!!
-
As always in Thailand.
It would come down to Money, Connections, Class.
-
Sorry if I missed it.
But was is your problem with going in a body scanner?
What's the big deal?
-
Mountain Molehill.
Who cares, whatever.
-
Yes that is what I fancy.
Matte Black on a Jazz.
In the UK £850 5 year guarantee.
Keeps your origional paint intact and protected.
Would have thought it considerably cheaper here as most of the price must be labor.

Not been able to fine much on Google.
Anyone had a wrap done here?
Any ideas on price?
Experience?
Recommendations?
-
All property will sell, all you need to do is offer it as the right price.
Exactly!!!
-
It can be done.
The documentary "Big Trouble In Tourist Thailand" and it's piece on JJ in Puket caused enough international attention to force changes there.
The question is Who can do this for Pattaya???
-
The same group (between Soi 10 and Mike Shopping) is at it again today. Watched them scam another small group. Same cop came to their rescue.
Was this the Policeman by any chance?
Got this picture from a very interesting thread on another Pattaya forum.
It details 11 incidences of this scam, with photos.
It's in the section newbies sand box.
I assume it's against forum rules to link to it so I guess it will have to remain a "secret"

Thanks for the 'heads-up' about this place, I shall be trying a breakfast there in the next few days before an AEON fee-free withdrawal next door at Carrefour. I will report back.
I think the free fee AEON ATM is charging from next month
Jori
Totally off topic for this thread, but
Why do you think this?
Where did you hear it?
If true I think this requires it's own thread.

Looks like City Hall are receiving complaints daily.
Having some meetings.
But doing NOTHING!
http://www.pattayaone.net/pattaya-news/17340/meeting-discusses-ways-to-combat-pattaya-jet-ski-scams/
Something we can all do.
If you see this scam in progress.
Call the City Hall Hotline number 1337.
The more calls they get, they might actually do something about it.

It's a great place, but not to hire a Jet Ski.
At least the Soi 10 Mike shopping mall area.
Was down there yesterday afternoon saw 2 groups go out BOTH had problems on their return, 2 different hirers about 50M apart looked like it was the same Boss though.
I don't know how much money was being demanded but it got quite heated and after an hour or two a trip to the Hotel/ATM was required before the pay off.
This transaction was just being completed as the next victims where innocently mounting their rides some 50M further down the beach.
I stuck around long enough to see them return and the whole pantomime start all over again.
Don't know the outcome of this as I left then.
It's plain to see this operator at least is nothing but a low life scam artist who pulled this at least twice yesterday within a couple of hours on just one 50M stretch of beach.
Its a fuc_king disgrace.
Who can stop this?
I think the title of this thread is correct "Out of control"

50 baht for gravy???????
No
That was Simon's in Jomtien.
Poor quality and expensive.
-
Hmm
While I do have sympathy and I know this scam goes on.
But come on 25k Baht between 2 people causing them to have to cut their holiday short by months?
Jesus what was their monthly budget?
Also how pathetic do you have to be not to be able to haul yourself back on a jet ski? unless your disabled?

LOL
Yeah Siam Country Club was a disaster this afternoon.
Lucky for me I was on my motorbike but traffic was backed way up in all directions at 5PM today.
-
That would be the Jolly Friar Soi Lenkee.
Has been discussed on here recently.
Good quality and good price.
Do a search if you want more info.
-
They seem to do well in Beauty Contests.
Fair skin is a big advantage here.
My Mrs was complaining that in the Miss Thailand comp awhile ago nearly all the contestants where Look Kreungs.
Then again the same with Miss Teen Thailand earlier this week.
-
LOL Very funny post.
I feel your pain!

The Slingbox would stay in the USA.
needs to be connected to the satellite or cable services you want to receive.
You will need to pay you're subscription for this as normal.
Basically you need someone in the US to host this for you (friends/family).
Then you need to consider the Internet connection required in the US you will need a good upload speed, this was my downfall in the UK when I tried to set this up at a friends address, could not get an Internet provider with enough upload speed.
Lastly in Thailand to watch on your PC/Laptop all you will need is to load the software available to download from their website and a decent Internet connection.
If you want to receive direct to your TV then you will need another piece of hardware a Slingcatcher.
In my experience it is allot of hassle and expensive to set up and requires a very helpful host in your home country, but as long as you have s good enough Internet conection at both ends it works good.
For me it just didn't work out and in the end I have found subscribing to a proxy server to be far cheaper and easier, gives me access to all UK Internet TV.

Good Luck
