  1. I guess it wasn't considered to be theft, until he decided to keep it rather than hand it in to the police or contact the loser (her ID card and other docs were in the bag too). IIRC the bag was lost on Thursday. Taxi driver was arrested today.
  2. The loss was reported here on Friday.
  3. Looks like it was lifted straight from the local newspaper - Stoke Sentinel. No details about the "accident" in that report. I guess the details will come out at the inquest, so we will probably not get to hear them. https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news/stoke-on-trent-news/stoke-trent-holidaymaker-dies-phuket-9297355?utm_source=ground.news&utm_medium=referral
  4. Personally, I find it hard to believe that Epstein killed himself in a prison cell with CCTV temporarily unavailable.
  5. He is not "top dog" but it does seem that he has access to the real "top dog".
  6. There are obvious examples of this phenomenon around the world, the most obvious being Trump and Biden. Power is a very addictive drug. Q. What has changed during this time? A. IX to X.
  7. @KhunLA Cute! You should find the same tree and do one of those before/after photos.

  11. I did not know that, thanks. I miss the old days when we (UK) were guaranteed 10 points each from Greece and Cyprus. I guess we could thank Prince Philip for that (RIP you old codger - my favourite royal).
  12. Sattahip is also my local Lotuss, although I haven't shopped there for years - since I have to drive past Big C and Makro to get there. I'm in Surin just now but it's good to know where I can find Caballo when I get home. IMO it's a nice sip over ice, but I favour a long drink with orange juice.
  13. My car will not move an inch until every passenger has secured their seatbelt. The message was received and understood in less than half a minute.
  14. Agreed. They were very effective public safety campaigns - supported by effective, targeted policing. I'm not sure the police here would be capable/willing to provide the necessary support.
  15. This UK public service ad was/is disturbing, but explains the possible consequences of not wearing seatbelts ...
