  1. No, I'm pretty sure that it was the actual Vaccination Certificate not a working slip. I handed it over, with a copy of my passport, at Patong Hospital and was given this receipt. As you can see, it's definitely for an International Travel certificate.
  2. Right, I'm starting to think I've made a mistake. What I got in Jung Ceylon was another sticker on my passport, and a Vaccination Certificate. I asked about a 'passport' and was told that I could obtain one through Patong Hospital. I believe now that the Vaccination Certificate that I was given is the same document that those vaccinated in Karon had to go to Chalong Hospital to obtain. What Patong Hospital are going to give me on the 23rd is a certificate for International Travel.
  3. My second AZ at JC Patong midday. As with the first, lots of people there, with the longest wait being to get the certificate and passport stamped after the vaccination had taken place and the paperwork handed in. I asked about the vaccination 'passport' and was told this could be obtained at Patong Hospital (not Chalong which is a bummer as I live in Chalong). So, round to Patong Hospital I go, needed passport copy and a copy of the certificate that had just been issued to me. Given a receipt and told to come back on the 23rd of this month to collect the 'passport'. Obviously at odds with what happens at Chalong Hospital, where it's issued there and then.
  4. Details for each province are published in Thai News Reports late afternoon every day.
  5. Wrong. In the circumstance of death of a spouse, the visa/extension remains valid until its expiry date.

  7. I made this recipe recently, came out very well. https://www.bestrecipes.com.au/recipes/pickled-beetroot-recipe/exbftjqi
  8. A new record high this morning for Phuket. 256 confirmed cases plus another 2 in the Sandbox, as well as 10 more ATK positives.
  9. Chaofa West in Chalong, heading north. Traffic lights just before TOT offices (on right), next to a Family Mart just after lights on the left. Usual array of washing machines etc outside. https://goo.gl/maps/NUYiMv2xCkRTrtHC9
  10. Find the comment on movies, series and kids TV odd. The extensive movie library has all the latest movies that you'll find in the torrent sites, as well as the series. Amongst the TV channels, there are at least six dedicated Sky Movie channels of different genre. Quite a few dedicated children's channels also.
  11. Dear oh dear. Just had a look at the link you posted. A Russian service that doesn't tell you what you get, such as channel information etc. I think Mickey Mouse wears an IPTV Rocket watch...... With Pulse you don't need a VPN. You aren't downloading anything, you're streaming. You also have to compare an outlay of 10,000 baht a year against 27,000 baht (True) and the difference in content and quality.
  12. RTB Animal Hospital has a branch in Phuket: http://rtbcenter.com/new/en/map/
  13. There seems to be a reasonably accurate account available of 'Sandbox' arrivals each day (see image). What is missing of course, are the reciprocal numbers of departures. I think there's no doubt that having reduced the mandatory 14 days Phuket to 7 with the option of 'corridor' destinations, the numbers actually choosing to remain in Phuket will decrease. The last week has certainly seen a decline in the overall numbers of international arrivals, which given August and September are the real depth of the 'low season' is not to be unexpected. Given the latest decision of the UK to red list Thailand and thus mandatory (and hotel to be paid) quarantine on return, could be a significant impact. Of course, the acceptance of the Russian vaccine as 'acceptable' could have an impact on Russian arrival numbers, but of course there have to be the flights to justify them.
  14. Indeed, though a prompt for those who haven't yet registered or received anything, with it appears, a choice including Pfizer.
  15. Really can't see this as news, there have been farang volunteers at Phuket Immigration for many years (can't say for exactly how long, but certainly in my 14 year tenure here). As with all expats here, there is a turnover of people so a mix of nationalities of the volunteers at any given time. Their website is excellent at providing current information for all aspects of using Immigration: http://piv-phuket.com/
  16. Probably one of the buy/sell group pages in Facebook would be best.
  17. You don't say the make of laptop. If it's a Mac, I thoroughly recommend this guy. I had a problem with the display/screen on my iMac last year, which was quickly resolved and some other upgrades performed. https://www.phuketmymac.com/
  18. It's one specific area of Phuket Town, that around the fresh market that's next to Robinson's department store. All access blocked off and nobody allowed in or out.
  19. There hasn't been a previous definition of domestic tourist and/or visitor. There hasn't been any change from the current criteria, i.e. if you have the vaccination history and a negative test, you could and can enter Phuket. We all know that with the state of vaccinations being carried out nationally, this effectively stops all but a few from coming to Phuket, but an actual ban it isn't. The one's most affected are family/friends of those who wanted to join people arriving under the Sandbox scheme and can't meet the vaccination requirements.
  20. I don't believe that there was ever a 'ban' as such, only that the current entry criteria includes being fully vaccinated and also have a negative PCR/ATK test no older than 72 hours. Given today's number of 109 new infections, difficult to see anything at all being rescinded.
  21. Agree, True has become more and more for the home (domestic Thai) market. Whilst streaming services as those you mention such as Netflix, Apple TV, and others such as Disney are great for their content, they're not a one stop shop for total media such as news and sport in particular, and remain as an 'Add On' rather than total media providers.
  22. I just Google'd Expat TV and the first thing that jumped up was this:
  23. I just checked also and see the French and German channels have disappeared, just leaving the UK and Australian. Case of supply and demand I guess.
  24. Is that the same one that was shut down by the Thai authorities a few years ago? I seem to remember an Expat TV that was, and a lot of people lost their money.
