  1. The 12 months will start on the day of application/issue. It will end 12 months later. The earlier marriage extension is irrelevant. Don't apply early, if you're worried about losing a few days/weeks.
  2. "We"? Maybe so, but you'll still have to sort out your bank. Unless you only use your partners account for everything.
  3. The Siam Rath article from where this story originates does have more details, and seems more than dinner was involved. But also acknowledges his defence......"the suspect claimed that it was a case of playing on Tinder, a dating app, with the victim willingly and not knowing the real age. In this case, fairness must be given in the investigation, which must go into the details of the case at another level" https://siamrath.co.th/n/602345
  4. Interestingly enough, a message has appeared today on my KBank app telling me my name doesn't match my phone. And I've got until 30 April to sort it. So I will check with True what name they have, ought not be hard (famous last words). But regarding your earlier point about family SIMS they seem indeed to have thought about that - and at least Kasikorn have details of what to do in those cases.
  5. It's actually a "Re-Entry Permit". You might mention that to them at the desk when you get it.
  6. And it's their serve. You won't need to change your number but may need to change the name associated with it so it matches your account, easy enough to do.
  7. 2 months statement is required for the 1st retirement extension. The reason for the 12 months statement is to show that you fulfilled the financial requirements for the previous years extension, which in your case would not have applied.
  8. I would guess he had no idea he had anyone looking for him. He had a Tinder date and at some point later he left the country. Meanwhile for unexplained reasons that date turned into a crime (her parents maybe?) . I would imagine her Tinder profile was somewhat inaccurate. Doesn't make it right but it's a shame only bits and pieces of stories like this get told.
  9. Who supplied them? From the story in the first case her family. In the second case she supplied herself through a dating app.
  10. This story appeared here today. According to the original mAIl story the family have been panicking and rushing since Saturday. Presumably by now, 4 days later he's either dead or recovered and his family have arrived. The chances of an accurate update to this story?
  11. Of course not. The remarkable thing is that she had any savings at all. "Ian" was a lucky guy by all accounts. She should sell her story to the dAIly mAIl and start a GFM, might get lucky.
  12. from the OP..... "the family now faces escalating hospital costs of around £3,000 (approximately 127,500 THB) per day"
  13. TAT have all the answers.....https://www.tourismthailand.org/Articles/plan-your-trip-vat-tax-refund
  14. Or DTV if she qualifies. Better still she needs to marry someone, opens up more possibilities.
  15. But but but...."Unbeknownst to him, his annual travel insurance had expired,".
  16. Some very familiar elements to this sad tale.
  17. The UK (for example) used to add up to 6 months to the validity when renewing early. They stopped doing that some years ago. Some countries have issues with passports with having over 10 years validity and I also had problems booking flights when my passport was valid 10+ years at the time of booking.
  18. I used to use it years ago but found it cumbersome. It certainly doesn't (didn't) do everything, QR payments for instance. I stopped with it when I got KPlus so maybe it's better now. I don't recall there were any special requirements to get it but I see now that to register for it you need to already have KPlus on a phone! "Must have K PLUS service and be applying through a mobile phone that uses K PLUS."
  19. No, they are not. And nor do I.
  20. "K-Biz" perhaps, but really that is old stuff. The app works fine.
  21. Yes, KPlus is the app. But no need to go to the bank for that, just download it and register. Easy.
  22. I had the same issue, as soon as I registered it worked fine.
  23. How are you trying to do that, through the app or debit card? If the debit card you need to enable it for online purchases, "Verified by Visa" https://directenrollment-3ds2.kasikornbank.com/#/register
