  1. They needed it to complete their banner for the match, "where's my bike?"
  2. They won't see it as cancelled. HMPO does not maintain/support an international database of cancelled passports. There is an Interpol database for lost and stolen passports but to access that countries have to subscribe to it and many/most don't as a matter of course.
  3. Me too, but when you tell them there's a 100 baht reward for a +/-1 year guess it's remarkable how close they get.
  4. The story is a bit light on detail of the "fraud"/"swindle".
  5. They are sending a message on to the destination. Makes perfect sense, why would Thailand want to keep these people.
  6. It's an established fact that "damn hot" 26 year olds don't like Thai men, young men, slim men.
  7. I did. It says her 3 year sentence is reduced by 92 days, not reduced to 92 days,
  8. I have a giffgaff e-sim which is connected all the time in Thailand. I only use it to receive OTP's,etc. from the UK and when I have to go there, hopefully never. You can keep multiple e-sims on your phone and switch them on and off as needed, i do this when travelling. And yes you can use as a hotspot. My physical True SIM just stays in the phone and data is turned off when travelling.
  9. I think the point being made was that his gun was found at his home, along with most of the drugs, not when he was initially apprehended.
  10. Just shows they all make it up as they go along. Flight out? That's just plain crazy.
  11. This is my point. Why can't you? The airline doesn't know it's cancelled. Thai immigration doesn't know it's cancelled. So only you know that you shouldn't be travelling on it. Maybe not a good idea but in case of urgent need I see no reason not to try it.
  12. Kasikorn does the same and yes, they are password protected.
  13. Never mind who pays the cashier, who gets the change? 9 times out of 10 if I pay the bill in cash the cashier hands the change to the other half.
  14. I'm wondering about that. UK passport doesn't need an ETA so the first encounter with UK Immigration would be on arrival. Until then nobody would know that the passport had been cancelled. I realise airlines send passenger lists but to what extent they are reviewed and how quickly I don't know.
  15. How would that impact tourists from the Middle East?
  16. Correct. I send to Kasikorn and no matter what I use as the purpose the bank book only ever shows "TRN". However if I download a statement in Thai the entry is described as "รับเงินธุรกรรม ตปท." ("Receive money from overseas transactions") and/or "ธุรกรรมต่างประเทศ" ("Foreign Transactions") - (translations by Google). The English version of the statement says "Trade Finance Deposit"
  17. It is jumbled up reporting. Everywhere else carrying this story describes the THB40 billion as Thailands "bid" for the contract.
  18. 50% of 7% of a small market. Whilst the drop itself may be substantial it's hard to imagine that this puts Thai Tourism in "jeopardy".
  19. Some rather unusual driving by the Pajero in the beginning of that clip. Lock 'em both up for the safety of others.
  20. Re-entry permit is valid until the expiry of your current permission to stay. It makes no difference when you leave and return as long as it's before that date.
  21. You have to do one year using 800k in the bank and during that year make the 65k/month deposits ready for the subsequent extension. You can of course spend the 65k each month. I believe @DrJack54 is doing this.
  22. A4 envelope, 250g
