  1. Strange. I booked a hotel on Agoda, in Thailand, yesterday and used a UK based MasterCard debit card.
  2. Yes, some certainly are, CW for example, although not consistently. Best have one just in case.
  3. The 2 entry limit is by LAND. By air there is no such limit although questions will be asked if continuous entries are made with little time out of the country. I think she is out of time to get a visa from Phnom Phen, No appointment is needed but it takes 3 full working days according to their website and the soonest she could apply is Wednesday 16th, therefore collect on Monday 22nd. She could go to immigration on 17th and apply for a 30 day extension, I think they will overlook the overstay as they were closed. She should have gone yesterday of course but that's history.
  4. Ah OK. But I'm guessing it should work like any other MasterCard but the TPN thing may cause it not to?
  5. Why do you think you can't use it? It's just a MasterCard debit card, nothing strange about it (apart from the cartoon characters). Presumably the Belgian company doesn't accept card payments only bank transfers? That is more a limitation on their part rather than a problem with your bank.
  6. TM30 asks for details of your visa and entry into the country. Only your passport will have this information. Having said that I am not sure all this information is always completed, I certainly have TM30's with missing info.
  7. Thanks @Sheryl for your advice. I do have a letter that will probably suffice, and can access earlier test results which I can print out. Is it clear what test I am looking for from the simple description given? Any recommendation for a good hospital/doctor to go to in Bangkok?
  8. I need to try and get a Electrophoresis blood test done to report my serum Paraprotein level to my haematology consultant in the UK. Last year I had a raised level of 8g/l together with some symptoms that caused the ongoing monitoring to be advised. Whilst the level did go down and the symptoms have subsided I'd still like to get this done. Am I likely to be easily able to get this done in Bangkok without too much problem, and presumably the eventual result would be understandable to a UK doctor? I don't want a new investigation started, just the blood test.
  9. You need to describe better what you have but in any case it will be possible to use it online but you will probably need to get it authorised for online usage first. Bangkok Bank 1333 might be a good source of information.
  10. Close, it appears to be the one before on that site...
  11. If the "ticket" you have includes the information they are asking for - number/PNR/name, etc. then that will be fine. All airlines have very different ticket styles, some more "official" looking than others.
  12. I transferred over 50k with Kasikorn a few weeks back, no problem. She also took a photo of me the last time I was in the bank but for what purpose I have no idea, I guess she's not made of wood after all.....
  13. Do you have pain? If not bin them.
  14. Re the second question, a non-O multiple entry visa (marriage) is reported now as requiring the same finances, i.e. 400k, as an annual extension, so likely not of much benefit to you.
  15. For a single non-O (retirement) from London in Feb this year I received a follow up email asking for; Other request documents: - Flight details showing the applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand ....so it might be worthwhile being prepared for that just in case you get the same next time.
  16. It's not Cadmium its tailings/slag. So I think rather less than your calculation. Nevertheless you wouldn't want it in your tea,
  17. No good reason, available elsewhere with slightly blurred pants.
  18. Assuming you have online access to the accounts I would try sending 1000 baht using Wise to the fixed deposit account. Then see if it turns up - should do in seconds. That would establish if or not you can indeed deposit money online.
  19. I bought a True tourist SIM years ago. If you just keep a small balance on it you can use from that to extend its validity (8.41 baht for 90 days) whether in or out of the country. Can do it wherever you might be using the app on your phone. And when you want data in Thailand just add a day/week/month pack, many to choose from. And provided you've enabled roaming you'll get OTP's without any cost.
  20. I've read several accounts recently of 400k being required for a single non-O (family). I myself needed to show 800k for a single non-O (retirement) from London in February.
