  1. What about the financial requirements for converting to a single non-O (Marriage) in country?
  2. Likewise Kasikorn. I believe out of province deposit machines also charge, although never used one.
  3. Does it work? If it does there is no need to reinstall it. You will have used data as you cant install the app on WiFi.
  4. Not SCB but I use the Kasikorn app in the UK. I have a True SIM in the phone and roaming enabled but NOT data roaming - that's spoils money incredibly fast. Data is either WiFi or the UK SIM. No problems using the app at all. I would hope/expect that SCB will work similarly. No special amount of credit is needed for enabling roaming, as long as you don't answer the phone or make calls/texts. It will receive text messages free of charge. Presumably the app is up and running on the phone already? I mention this because at least in the case of Kasikorn the initial setup has to be done while connected to data on a Thai cell network, not WiFi.
  5. Well yes of course but I was working on the assumption his gf knows what a gold shop looks like.
  6. The cool function simply evaporates the water and blows it around your room. So inevitably the humidity will increase. Whether it is useful is moot, but they do seem to sell a lot of them here so must be something of value. Personally I am happy with a fan.
  7. It's not weird, it's just a weight. 1 Baht = 15.244 grams. The shops in the malls and in the streets are legitimate and will all display their sell and buy rates. You pay a small premium on top for decorative work. Make sure she keeps the shop receipt for when she wants to sell it.
  8. Inscrutable those Japanese chaps, when they say you have 15 days they actually mean it!
  9. Just a shot in the dark here, but perhaps he counted the days when planning the trip, not after arriving?
  10. "adding that he needs to wear neck support, but not all the time." Whenever he cannot be seen by the people that believe in him.
  11. Immigration most likely wont ask but the airline may well do at check-in. So it would be good to have an onward ticket for sure. Or why not just get a tourist visa before you travel? That eliminates the issue and also avoids a trip to immigration. E-Visas will start being available in Australia next week.
  12. I recently got a single non-O retirement from the UK. 800,000 in a Thai bank was fine for them.
  13. You're welcome. If you plan travel between now and October you could always put off the extension till later - if you travelled in October for instance you'd get 90 days more on returning (before the 18th) and wouldn't have to do the extension until the end of the year.
  14. Once you are on the annual extension you will need a re-entry permit. The visa is done with.
  15. You'll be fine. Like all airlines its 32kg max per piece.
  16. nah, they are just what is needed at the Lee Kee Shipyard.
  17. This "strategy" also includes the initial airport entry + extension, so there are the 2 missing months.
  18. They may well do if you don't have an onward ticket within 30 days of arrival.
  19. Depends on the airline and how much you pay. Some, like Emirates, charge different amounts for different "premium" seats. You'll almost certainly pay more for the best seat in economy, although sometimes exit rows, for example, are not pre-bookable until check-in.
