No I think Thai immigration will not make a problem since there are also Thais doing the same thing. I am aware of Thais doing the crossing in Surin to Cambodia 2 or 3 times week.

She could make the weekly crossings without a problem and get a 14 day stamp in her passport everytime. Thais do the same for entry to Cambodia since they also get the 14 day entries.

After your extension application is submitted and accepted some offices have return the next day to pickup your passport with the new extension stamp in it. They do that to avoid overcrowding caused by people waiting for the final approval of their application.

The are certainly approved at the office you report to. There is no central approval point. You only have to look a the receipt of notification when it is approved. Mine states in Thai it was done in Ubon Ratchaithani.

I think you probably made and error when completing the online report. Normally it is problem with the info you entered tor your address that resulted caused the rejection by immigration. Many people have tried again after getting the rejection and were successful the 2nd time.

Your entries are under a bilateral agreement not the standard visa exempt entry scheme. Same for Koreans, Cambodians, Laotians and etc the 2 entry per calendar year does not apply to them. .See this for the latest info for the countries under bilateral agreements. List of countries for visa exempt and visas on arrival dated October 2021. What is posted in that topic is not really relevant. Only the first post stating what the rules are.

To return to Thailand you will need a Thailand Pass. See: https://tp.consular.go.th/ I have seen nothing stating what will be needed to enter Vietnam yet. Cambodia is already open and people have made trips to the-re already.

It cannot be abandoned. It is required by the Immigration Act done in 1979 and it has not been amended since it was written.

A few days late is not a problem. Immigration understands that sometimes things can happen to prevent a person doing it on time. I aware of immigration telling people to do it late to get some missing documents needed.

A overstay fine of 500 baht for each day you are late.
