  1. A order done in 2018 changed the definition of work. “To perform any professional work, regardless of whether or not there is an employer, but excluding the conduct of business of foreign business license holders according to the Foreign Business Act.” Source: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZYhf0Xt6ktzXVILU1G7Kxuo3RKop00k8/view
  2. Not visa or extensions related. Moved to the travel forum.
  3. Immigration will not do them early so you can change the date your extension is due. The only you can to is leave the country without a re-entry permit and then reenter the country and start all over again.
  4. That is actually correct when it refers to transiting to a domestic flight. It can only be done if you clear immigration and get on a flight which cannot be done. There are special flights from BKK that leave from the international arrival area of the airport to Samui and Phuket.
  5. That was for back to back tourist visa applications. I don't think it would be a problem now since most people have not been able to apply for them there for almost 2 years.
  6. Immigration has not issued any order for extension of stay yet since their part of it does no start until September 1st. Only the MFA has issued a order for new OA visa applications at a embassy or official consulate.
  7. His best option may be to apply for another 60 day covid 19 extension to get more time to do the application after his birthday. He could apply up to the 25th of March for another extension. After his birthday he could apply for the non-o visa.
  8. Nonsense About the only case it could be a problem if you building your own without any Thai labor.
  9. You certainly will not be able to get a work permit with a extension based upon retirement.
  10. This from the FAQs' for entering the country. Source: https://consular.mfa.go.th/th/content/thailand-pass-faqs-2
  11. There have been no official changes. The local office could possibley come up with something new they want.
  12. I don't know but it can be done without one if you find a organization that meets the requirements to get a non-o visa.
  13. The extension in most cases is for one year. If attending a informal school it is normally 90 days for each extension up to a total stay of one year. You can apply for a non-o visa that allows a 90 day and then a one year extension based upon marriage to a Thai at immigrant. A non-ed visa for attending a school and a non-o visa for volunteer work at a legitimate organization can be applied for.
  14. You could apply for a non immigrant visa and then a extension of stay near the end of the 90 day stay it allows.
  15. It is 400k baht in the bank for 2 months in a Thai bank or pro0f 40k baht income by way of transfers into a Thai from aboard every month. You cannot change non immigrant visa categories while in the country. You can only change a different type of extension of stay.
  16. Since you're from the USA you got a 30 day visa exempt entry. A visa on arrival only allows 15 day stay for those from 18 countries and the US is not one of them and they cannot be extended or changed to a non immigrant visa. You can get another 60 day covid 19 extension up to the 25th of March. You could apply for a non-o visa based upon volunteer work or a non-ed visa for attending a formal school.
  17. Many people have been able to use 30 days of covid 19 insurance and got a Thailand Pass to enter the country. If you could get a policy that only covered $25,000 you could use both insurances for the Thailand Pass.
  18. Was that the covid insurance that pays 100k baht if you get infected and includes a higher amount if you die from it or are permanently disabled. I got the first year 2020 for 750 baht and renewed it last year for 680 baht. Roojai sent me an email offering the renewal.
  19. I am not sure they would post date the cancelation that early. I would say about 5 day is about normal. You only need one day to do your extension unless you are missing a required document. You employer can cancel your work permit with consent from you to do it. Do you have 800k baht in the bank that will be in your account for 2 months on the day you apply or proof of 65k baht income.
  20. It started back 2020 when they first started allowing entries for more categories for entries to the country. As I have advised people before is to check with the embassy or official consulate about getting the visa.
  21. That depends upon the office where you apply. At many office only blue in is only required for your signatures. I print my completed TM7 forms that are black ink. For the space for the reason you could put to stay with your Thai wife. That also depends upon the office. Many don't care what the background color is.
  22. It has to be done at the same office where you plan on applying for a one year extensions of stay. All non immigrant visas applications have to approved at the division level of immigration. For Chonburi if would be done by division 3 headquarters that is in Bangkok and is responsible for the central region of the country . That is why you must have at least 15 days remaining on your permit to stay in country to apply for the visa.
  23. You can get the Thailand Pass with 30 days of insurance. Many people have done it,
  24. Some office may want a recent printout of your Kor Ror 2 marriage registry that can be requested at any Amphoe. I suggest you have your original marriage certification incase immigration wants to see it. Your wife needs to be with you.
