Double or triple entry tourist visa
ubonjoe replied to Soapy 100's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
They have not changed their site to reflect the announced possible changes on November 1st. Nothing has been put on paper about it yet. It will be a while before they change their site to show it. -
They will be closed the 13th and 25th for Thai holidays. Same for main bank branches.

Land border at Mukdahan
ubonjoe replied to HashBrownHarry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No firm info about any land border crossing opening. There was talk of there being a travel bubble with Laos but I have seen no more info about it. I think they will still do a multiple entry non-o visa unless they adopt the e visa online application. -
I have not left the country for over 13 years. I had heard there was a change last year. Online reporting did not work for me in April last year so skipped 2 reports under the amnesty. Did a report in August when I went to immigration for my extension. Then in October I tried doing it online early and almost fell out of my chair after I got to page 2 for the first time ever. Completed the report and got instant approval. I have been doing the online reports and on the app since then except for one in April when immigrations extranet was down.

covid insurance to transit through bkk airport
ubonjoe replied to jspill's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It was dropped but the CAAT did not bother changing it in that announcement. -
I seen no announcement of it being approved by the cabinet. And no changes to the immigration order for OA visa extensions. Not sure where that insurance company got that info. The last time I heard of anything about was when it was approved in principle by the cabinet some months ago. A committee was supposed to be finalizing it for final approval the last time I read anything about it.

Immigration Want 20k. Again
ubonjoe replied to Grayo46's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Only a single entry non-o visa would be stamped used. A multiple entry non-o visa would only be stamped used if you used it just before it expires. My single entry visa expired over 13 years ago and was stamped used. I have extend the 90 day permit to stay it allowed 14 times. -
Immigration Want 20k. Again
ubonjoe replied to Grayo46's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
As I wrote before the extension he did last year was legitimate. He just got snagged by a officer wanting some money and used the visa issue as an excuse. -

Immigration Want 20k. Again
ubonjoe replied to Grayo46's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The only way he could have a non-o visa would be if he left and re-entered the country with a non-o visa. As said it is not possible to change non immigrant visa categories within the country. The immigration order only states a non immigrant visa is needed the extension application based upon marriage. Same about all extension applications. Not needed for a extension of tourist visa or visa exempt entry and few others that do not require any specific visa type. -

But not every office. People spreading false info often say it is at every office. I think though some people cause the problems themselves.
-
it seems to be a problem that occurs due to the online reporting system a office is using. I had to wait about 5 and half years for it to work for me due to a old entry and a new passport. I was able to do my first one last October and I have been able to do 4 of them since then and I had to do one in April when the extranet was down for about 2 months. All my online reports have been instantly approved. If you were to use the mobile app for online reporting it would probably inform you of the problem (late reporting or overstay) instead of just the contact your local office (that only comes up on the app if your records cannot be found and that could be an error in what you entered).
