ubonjoe replied to CFC's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You do not have to apply for the 30 day extension but you may need it to do the application before you have less than 15 days remaining of the 30 days to do the application. -

If they allowed you enter the country that means you were not blacklisted. They don't randomly blacklist people. -

Thai visa requirements
ubonjoe replied to parafareno's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You could use a bank statement from the Thai bank to prove the 20k baht. Normally you will need proof of paid hotel reservation. But it can depend upon where your apply for the visa at. -
Retirement Visa Easiest Option
ubonjoe replied to CFC's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The 400k baht for a extension of stay based upon marriage only needs to be in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply. It was changed over a decade ago. Prior to March of 2019 the 800k baht had to be in the for 60 days for the first extension and then 3 months after that. Now it is 2 months for every extension. -
Retirement Visa Easiest Option
ubonjoe replied to CFC's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The 800k baht only has to be in the bank on the day you apply for the non-o visa that will allow 90 day stay. Requirments are here: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf The 800k will then need to be in the bank for 2 months when you apply for the one year extension. -
Is New TM87 Form Necessary Coz TM6 Abandoned?
ubonjoe replied to Barley's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Not having a TM6 arrival card does not change the form need to a apply for non-o visa at immigration. The TM87 form is used if you are on a visa exempt entry and the TM86 form is used if you have a tourist visa entry. You leave the TM6 number space blank when completing the form.- 1 reply

All of them I have seen did not mention the Wilkes Barre zip code. This one from 2019 does not show it.
-
How did you send it? Express mail or registered?
-
I have not seen that postal code used when tracking my 7162's sent to the SSA. They only have seen the 18767 code on the tracking.

LTR visa: Work-from-Thailand as a UK contractor
ubonjoe replied to voltore's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You should look and do a post in this long ongoing topic about the LTR visa. -
That is the postal code for the city of Wilkes Barre not the SSA. What zip code did you use when you sent it. One of the codes for the SSA is 18767.
-
Wrong visa forum. Moved to visas for other countries forum.

It is certainly a problem with the SSA unique post office shown as zip code 18767-7162 on the mailing envelope. If they are busy it just goes into a black hole if they are busy and don't scan them. The one I sent in 2019 went into that black hole on July 7th until September 10th when it was shown as delivered and received on the 11th.

Question about Retirement Visa
ubonjoe replied to CFC's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can apply for a multiple re-entry permit that will be valid for the year your extension is issued. -
You can apply for a extension of stay based upon medical care with supporting documents from the hospital and/or a doctor. The extension can be issued up to 90 days dependent on the length of medical care you will be having. The extension can be applied for with any type of visa entry or a existing extension of stay.
-
The extension of the 45 day visa exempt entry will still be for 30 days.
-
The easiest visa to get would be a single entry tourist visa that allows a 60 day stay on entry that can be extended for 30 day at a immigration office.
