I think his is different due to his arriving long before mine and others. I think when they get a lot of mail they hold them until they are ready to process them.

Tourist Visa for a Thai to Canada
ubonjoe replied to Tazmo's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
Moved to the Visas for Other Countries forum. -
No change for mine. Still shows the August 4th date. I think the SSA post office has not marked it as received yet. About the same as 2019 when i sent the last one. I did a online request on Friday to the USPS about it but no reply yet other than a acknowledgement email.

"Converting" from O-A to O
ubonjoe replied to aBigSmile's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you had a valid OA visa you would get a new one year entry if you entered before it expired. If you have a extension of a OA visa entry you can leave the country at any time during the year without a re-entry permit and get a visa exempt entry or apply for a tourist visa at a embassy or consulate. -
No Extensions of stay based upon marriage to a Thai is one of the few that do not have that option. It is two months before the day of application to apply for the extension and the 3 months after the date of application and then 400k baht for the remainder of the year. Not sure where you getting the 3 months before number from. I don't think they will accept the 2 or 3 months of transfers to do the first extension. Best to ask them.

Non O evisa multiple entry Washington dc
ubonjoe replied to PattayaKevin's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I would assume they can be in Thai. -
I think you will have to start all over again after doing the name change and a new passport while in the UK. The problem would start when entering the country with a new passport and being stamped in with it. Normally you would show your new and old passports to use your re-entry permit to enter the country.

Non O visas, Phnom Penh embassy
ubonjoe replied to taxin's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This from the embassy website. " Visa processing times (including day of submission and day of pickup)* 3 working days for Tourist visas, Non-Immigrant Labour visas for Cambodian migrant workers (for example, if you apply on Monday, you can pick up your passport on Wendesday) 5 working days for other Non-Immigrant visas (for example, if you apply on Monday, you can pick up your passport on the next Monday)" Source: https://phnompenh.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/steps-to-take-for-traveling-to-thailand-as-a-foreigner?page=5d73b14415e39c46f40076a1&menu=5f4a095203523246a464a632 -
If you are on certain extensions of stay you mother could get a extension of stay for being a member of your family with no financial proof being required. The 800k baht only has to be in the bank for every extension of stay application. The rules state only 2 or 3 months of 65k baht being transferred in to a Thai bank is required for the first extension application but many offices will not accept it.

You will only need to show at least the equivalent of 20k baht ($700) to apply for the non-o visa. More info is here on the embassy webstie. https://thaiembdc.org/2020/07/11/foreigners_family/ -

Is your OA visa still valid or do you have re-entry permit that is valid. If yes you would not be able to get a tourist visa or enter visa exempt. You can apply for non-o visa with a entry from a tourist visa or a 30 day visa exempt entry. See: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf -
It is still done at CW if he is living in Bangkok. To apply for a the non-o visa he must have at least 15 remaining on his 30 day entry or the 30 day extension of it. Requirements are here. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022C1_09.pdf He will not be able to apply for the the one year extension during the last 45 days of the 90 days from the non-o visa.

Thanks for the info but I don't recall any reports about them being done there in the past. Yes -
It has been indefinitely delayed.

From Bangkok the Cambodian border is probably the best way do it. This company and perhaps others are doing border runs to there. https://www.thaivisaservice.com/

Non O visas, Phnom Penh embassy
ubonjoe replied to taxin's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Unless they have changed they do not issue a multiple entry non-o visa. Prior to covid 19 they did not issue them. Best to go to Savannakhet Laos to apply for it. -
They should accept it if you have a history of getting them at the end of every month. Show them a calendar showing that the 28th and 29th were holidays.

I am sure your non-ed visa expired some time ago. You are now on a extension of stay based upon attending a school. You may have to leave the country to apply for a new non-ed visa at a nearby embassy or official consulate to continue your studies.
