Well, if your bum gun fails through low pressure , you are good to go.

Not that cheap. Is it possible to use 1 pouch to make a second brew or is everything lost after 1 use ?

Luckier indeed. Your wife can drive !! My wife and wheels have a poor relationship. I do all the housework now plus maintain garden and car plus feed the dogs since my wife is doing all her mothers chores. I dread to think what will happen to the garden when I have to leave. My holidays will be spent hacking away at jungle with a machete.

The demise of the village ATM.
Denim replied to Crossy's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Worse in the UK. ATM's disappearing and bank branches closing . But hey , it's for our convenience and security. Isn't that nice and caring of the banks. Ahhhhhhhhhh. -
Thanks. Yea , it's a bummer but nothing to be done. Macular degeneration is just one problem. But she is taking it on the chin and wants me to stay here with my wife as long as possible. The kindest woman I know. Sadly my wife can't come with me as she is also the main carer for her own 89 year old mum. A case of the old looking after the oldest. On the plus side I will be able to get back here for holidays and wife can visit me also. Then there is skype for the rest.

Ok ....my bad , so I will have to claim in the UK anyway. I won't do it online either since no computer at my mothers house and doing it through the post they will have to address it to me there , further supporting my claim to be living there. A friend went to AgeUK and let them fill the forms in for him for them and when he forgot things and dates they knew what to put in the blank spaces.

This applies to me too, 66 on September 24th. I will be back in the UK on the 1st August through to mid October. I have maintained a UK address and bank account and my name is on the utility bills. As I see it , I might as well apply when I return rather than doing so online from here. If I mention I live in Thailand I will not be eligible for any further pension increase. Not much point in declaring my Thai marriage either since it is not registered in England and would give the game away. As I understand it ( correct me if I'm wrong ) , a Thai wife living in Thailand will not be eligible for a widows pension so no point mentioning it. My mother is slowly going blind and I will probably have to return to the UK to care for her in a year or two so my days here are numbered anyway.

I'm waiting for the non binary festival when I can finally come out as a happily married biped.

Any news on the fate of the OP ? Be nice to know if there was eventually a happy ending.

Yes.....early days. If there is a plan to block Pitas premiership it will be in the usual manner. Sawing one leg off the table at a time until it can't stand. It won't be rushed. His enemies will wait for the initial euphoria of his victory to quieten down and then start nibbling away at him and his party . Question is , having been down this road before how will the public react and where will the reaction be focused ? If the people decide not to tolerate any more judicial interference then any protests that arise must be massive and nationwide , not just the usual Bangkok orientated action. Yes, there have been protests around the country before but not nearly as powerful as needed to convince the old school to let go. I wish him the best of luck. He is going to need it.

Why dispute over House speaker could decide Thailand’s political future
Denim replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How about a Muay Thai bout to decide the issue , each party choosing its champion. Could not possibly make the proceedings any less dignified than they already are. -
True that but it must be a global thing since I seemed to be always stuck behind an old lady in Sainsburys dragging out the payment while I grew a beard. If they were with a younger relative and let them pay I would often hear ' Count your change , count your change. Can't be too careful.

I installed one in our last house to ventilate the hot air in the roof space above the kitchen. Worked a bit but nothing dramatic. All these ideas do help in reducing the heat but they will not actually make your house cool. Cooler.....yes ....but short of cool. That house was a 3 bedroomed terrace. So no sun on side walls. Had front and rear extension so no direct sunlight hitting walls front and back. Nonetheless , by 1 pm it will still rise to about 30 in the downstairs living room when it was 38 or 39 outside. Finally had to get another aircon unit for downstairs as couldn't spend all day in the bedroom. Meanwhile , in the UK they have just had a ' toasty ' bank holiday weekend at 24C....hottest day this year so far.

I might write to them to find out what ' unusual traffic ' is ?

Try a different browser. Sometimes works. I have an annoying problem with Lazada. After a few minutes browsing I get a message which I have to swipe four or five times to remove. Very annoying :
