They found out where you live via your ISP. Should have used a VPN when posting here. Best thing is to hang out in Soi Cowboy until that closes then head for Thermaes. They will all be gone by the time you get home.

Does Voltaren/diclofenac require prescription in Thailand?
Denim replied to cdemundo's topic in Health and Medicine
I use a Diclofenac gel ( Difeline ) On my forehead for pre-cancerous keratosis. Works fantastically. My keratosis completely gone. I now only use it 2 or three times a week just to prevent any recurrence. Available over the counter. Other brands also available all with just 1% Diclofenac. -
Senate panel to study Move Forward party’s PM candidate
Denim replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
From what I have heard from MF, there is no plan to completely scrap all the existing LM laws. What they want is to moderate them so that they can not be used as a political weapon or to put people behind bars with draconian sentences. In a similar vein it would be very beneficial to give the defamation law an overhaul so that the guilty are stripped of its protection.- 93 replies

Move Forward confident of majority with six-party coalition
Denim replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The irony of it is , that no matter how bad this military government has been , Thailand has still been a great place for expats. If Move Forward can form a government , hopefully it will be even better for everyone. -

Thailand’s Election Results May Reverse Cannabis Policy
Denim replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Cannabis for medicinal purposes is here to stay. Any new legislation will be against it's recreational use. Can't help thinking that smokers are in part to blame for any tightening of the laws. Imported cannabis hurt the expected boon to Thai farmers and the sometimes less than quiet and discrete opening of thousands of shops selling all sorts of weed has brought unwanted attention . Slowly slowly catch the monkey. Let society get used to the idea first before making too much noise. I was a heavy smoker for 20 years and think recreational use is fine. Unfortunately , the conservatives in the population do not and can't adjust their anti pot mind set. -
Abhisit may return as leader of the Democrat Party
Denim replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Indeed. Abhisit and those like him are part of the problem not the solution. Voters have realized this hence their very poor showing. -
Coronavirus / Face Masks Intl Traveling Report
Denim replied to TallGuyJohninBKK's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
I am not an anti masker since in the right places they definitely reduce transmission. However, in a confined space , for many hours , with hundreds of people cheek by jowl , breathing and exhaling from the shared oxygen supply , then I think they can not possibly reduce the odds of you contracting anything nasty that might be in the cabin. About as effective as keeping your fingers crossed. -

Military-backed senators refuse to back MFP form a government
Denim replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
In the previous constitution was there anything stating that coups are legal ? If not then none of the senators have any legitimacy. This is all going to end with more protests ....but this time they will be much bigger and the international community will exert more pressure. Even the usually apathetic have had enough . -

Give me that microphone. let me have a go. To the tune of Colonel Bogie : Hitler , has only got one ball , Rommels got two but fairly small , Himmler , has something similar , And poor old Goebbles Has no balls At all. -
So military coups are legal ? Rounding up people and detaining them at military camps for their political views is legal ? Really ? If so why grant yourself and friends amnesty from future prosecution ?
-
Yes. For as long as I remember. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Record breaking! Bangkok has highest turnout in voter history
Denim replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Titter ???? Well, it was Abhisit and Suthep at the helm when the Democrats gave the army permission to disperse the red crowds with live ammunition. Later , some democrats followed Suthep onto the streets for his shut down Bangkok protest which Suthep claims he and Prayuth orchestrated to justify a coup. Now they are reaping their just desserts. People now fully understand that merely calling your party Democratic means nothing. Everyone now knows that the Democrats and the army are bed fellows. -
Oh dear , how sad , never mind.

Another coffee shop near my hotel bites the dust.
Denim replied to steven100's topic in General Topics
Well....it's surprising what a big city Korat is. A little Bangkok. Interesting place too. Unfortunately , couldn't stay longer than 1 night as disabled MIL was screaming blue murder for wife ( main carer ) to hurry back and resume her duties. -

Depends which site you book with. We just rocked up without booking. Didn't really care much to be honest , just wanted somewhere close to The Mall. We paid 810 I think. Just turned up without booking. But hey, my main point is about the surprisingly good coffee I got from Dunkin Donuts. Always found Amazon to be crap. Small cups half full of lukewarm coffee served by indifferent staff. Even a 7/11 coffee beats Amazon.
