And I don't want to hear about how devout they, are I want to hear about how much time each day they spend in prayer, meditation, and contemplation, how much inner work have they done, and how much they devote to a life of charity. Are they true Christians, or have they simply adapted a ficticious label?

Musk is a rather fascinating human being, and he does seem to think that he's above the law. I guess many people with his level of power and wealth would. It's kind of fun to watch an authority reigning him in and compelling him to behave in a lawful manner. As we can see from his post he does not like being told what to do. Ha!

American man arrested for allegedly abusing 14-year-old Thai student
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Yeah these days there are some 14 and 15 year olds that are very attractive. That particular honey trap that you described is absolutely disgusting. Those people should be severely punished, then again so should the idiots that picked up the girl. And while we are at it, lets severely punish the girl for being such a social predator. -
We used to have a problem with crawling insects, ants and flying insects, to a minor extent, in our home. My woman suggested we hire an exterminator, initially I was against it but we did sign a contract. Now we've got guys coming every 3 months, they spray the entire outside of the house quite aggressively, and they do a minor spray inside the house. I have not seen an ant inside the house in 3 years. Prior to that I would leave something on the counter for 5 minutes and we'd have 9,000 ants in the kitchen. It is such a pleasure to not have to deal with those pests anymore, which I really don't like.

Age can be very cruel for women, it can be humbling for men but I agree we do age a lot better, and society tends to judge us less harshly. I have a friend who I met when she was about 30, she's from the Czech Republic, she used to be a gymnast, and she was very pretty, and had a great body, and she used it to great effect and was accustomed to being the center of attention in any room she walked into. She's now in her 50s and having a very difficult time coping with the fact that her beauty is gone, and her center of power is completely lost, it is quite an amusing thing to witness.

Okay you win the award for dumbest post of the day. There are just as many Trump relatives that despise Trump, so what? It means little, Minnesota's a relatively conservative state, so it's no surprise that some of his family members would be conservative. Big deal, talk about a nothing burger. I understand your frustration, it's pretty hard to back a horse that's going to be losing the race, but try to stick with reasonable replies.

Luxury Behind Bars? Police Probe Hotel-Like Prison Services
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand News
From what I hear extra prison services can be had nearly anywhere in the world, if you have sufficient money to pay for them. Prison guards are notorious as being some of the most corrupt and easily purchased people on earth. Why should it be any different here?- 50 replies

He could have been all jacked up on drugs, or he simply might be insane. There are insane and unhinged people all over the world. Ideally they would offer him some sort of psychiatric treatment but since Thailand is not really well equipped for that, the police will likely question him and let him go.

He was despised around the world. Everywhere I traveled, people would ask me why was he elected, and why do people support him? Many US leaders, and world leaders have written about how little regard and respect they had for him. These are facts, not opinions. Dispute them all you want. It changes nothing. Bolton said: I have been in those rooms with him when he met with those leaders, I believe they think he’s a laughing fool. And the idea that somehow his presence in office would have deterred Putin is flatly wrong,” he said on CNN Tuesday morning, naming the Russian, Chinese and North Korean leaders in particular. Not only that, but he is such a poor negotiator, he routinely gave away the shop. Trump gave many concessions to North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un as he sought an historic nuclear agreement, first in Singapore in 2018 and then at a second summit in Vietnam in 2019. Notably, he promised to drastically curb US military exercises with South Korea, which Trump, speaking up for North Korea, described as "provocative." It was a move that took the US military by surprise. Shortly after taking office, leaked written transcripts of calls between Trump and then-President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto, he asked repeatedly for the Mexican President to stop saying Mexico would not pay for the border wall. Trump said he'd been telling his supporters for years that they would. And he knowingly suggested it would "come out in the wash." But he needed a commitment that they wouldn't publicly make an issue of it any more. But it's another meeting with Trudeau that is more telling. Trump told supporters at a fundraiser in Missouri in 2018 that he insisted during one meeting with Trudeau that the US has a trade deficit with Canada -- that it buys more from Canada than it sells to the country. Trudeau was right that the US has a trade surplus with Canada. There have been many vocal critics, but Scottish politician Gavin Newlands was sure not to parse his words. "Let's be clear: Donald Trump is an idiot, Newlands said during the same debate in Parliament. I've tried to find different, perhaps more parliamentary adjectives to describe him, but none was clear enough. He is an idiot." Carl Bildt, a former Swedish foreign minister, made his thoughts on Trump known less than two months into the real estate mogul's presidential campaign by posting a somewhat apocalyptic tweet. "If Donald Trump was to end up as President of the United States I think we better head for the bunkers," he wrote. “The whole world has the same concern. We hope that the U.S. election restores a bit of rationality,” said José Pio Borges, president of the Brazilian Center for International Relations think tank. “Not that we have great appreciation for Biden, but there is no comparison.” “Were Donald Trump to be elected president, then absolutely, there will be certain governments that are going to be concerned,” said Leslie Vinjamuri, director of the U.S. and Americas Program at the London-based think tank Chatham House. She said the current case was “very clear evidence ... of his willingness to play fast and loose with secret and top-secret documents.” Trump intentionally retained hundreds of classified documents after leaving office in January 2021, and then stored them in cardboard boxes in locations including a bathroom, a ballroom and a bedroom at his Florida estate. The documents contained information on nuclear programs, defense and weapons capabilities of the U.S. and foreign governments, and a Pentagon “attack plan,” prosecutors wrote. “It’s so far beyond the pale of the imagination of most people who work in intelligence that ... you know, you do have to sort of laugh. But it’s obviously very grave, very serious,” Vinjamuri told the Associated Press. Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis Former Secretary of Defense under Trump Statement released June 3 "Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people -- does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society." Marine Corps. Gen. John Kelly Former Chief of Staff to Trump, Former commander of US Southern Command under Obama Interview on June 5 "I would've argued against it, recommended against it," Kelly said of Trump's photo-op. "I would argue that the end result of that was predictable." "I think we need to look harder at who we elect. I think we should look at people that are running for office and put them through the filter: What is their character like? What are their ethics?" The list goes on. This man is dangerous. He is a threat to the US and the world.

We all know being found innocent, can be far different than being innocent. The Swiss guy was guilty. And likely paid off the lawyers and the judge. -

I feel the same way. I hate the nonsense and will not behave as they ask. Just don't get in my face about it, and the SIMPs and Me Too Uber feminists can continue living their simplistic and obedient lives. -
Trump’s Relentless Campaign to Undermine Kamala Harris’ Momentum
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Totally fake. Pure delusion. The stock market and high real estate prices are not translating into a great economy. Many are barely getting by. Consumer confidence is terrible. Only homeowners who have their homes paid off, and the top 10% are doing well. The others are hurting. I travel often to the US, and see it first hand. Stop the lies. -
Thailand Leads Infidelity Statistics Globally
spidermike007 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It is so available here. And very easy. In the US it is harder to find. You have to work much harder. It is further underground. And having a mistress is completely ridiculous. Too risky and too costly. So, for many it is occasional casual sex with a stranger. Which is fun, easy and inexpensive. No big deal. -
Women today have too many options. The super hot gals you used to find in bars are now working for escorts services and are charging up to 60,000 baht. Or they are working online and making a fortune with multiple "boyfriends". These days the quality and selection is ininfotely lower. Everything has changed. Many gals have stories. We have all heard that story before. My family owns 25,000 rai of land. But, I need 20,000 a month to send to them, because all their wealth is tied up in their land, which they won't sell! Most have stories. Without the use of a good private detective (astonishing that more men do not use their services here), who can find out if she is online with profiles, dig up info about her past, etc. If you already harbor suspicions about her, they may be warranted. I would always question her claims of being hi-so (whatever that silly term means), or being a high earner. Can I see a pay stub? Always question the narrative! And most of the stories are ones that they know we want to hear. So many times I have heard friends say, "Oh no, she is new. She has only been working at the bar two weeks. I was her first customer. She worked in a factory before that. I could tell how innocent she was'. Yeah right!

Construction on Rama 2 Road to be completed in June next year

False. It has been going on for 15 years already? And they are only up to km 36. Expect it to continue to 2035, if not longer. Getting in and out of Bangkok is a nightmare. Heads should be rolling over this fiasco. -
Millions of voters and hundreds of millions around the world are finally figuring out who he is, and why they don't want to have anything to do with him. He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W. look smart and articulate. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws - he would make a Trump. And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: 'My God… what… have… I… created? Unappealing, unattractive, idiotic, incompetent, hateful, hurtful, abrasive, rude, blowhard, liar, cheater, thief, infantile, failure, loser, fraud, sexual abuser, incestuous, tax cheat, insurrectionist, un-American, dictator-loving dictator wannabe, out of control, sociopathic, convicted felon, toxic narcissist & brutish A-hole. Everything about the con-man referred to as Trump is unlikeable. He's everything wrong with the human animal, all stuffed into one specimen.

American man arrested for allegedly abusing 14-year-old Thai student
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
And you are defining intimacy as a hug? Really? I don't think a lawyer, nor the courts would agree. Unless this was California, maybe. Historically, prosecutors have rarely ever been able to get more than a misdemeanor charge for hugging. Though the anti-hugging movement is gaining steam. The movement to restrict hugging emerged in 1983 when Pam Church created the “Good-Touch/Bad-Touch” curriculum after learning that her children had been sexually abused. Designed to teach 1st- through 6th-grade students about abuse prevention, the curriculum has since been revised 11 times, is used by over 6,000 educators, and operates in most states. Age-appropriate programs teach children “body safety” rules through an interactive syllabus intended to help them feel confident in saying “no.” In 2005, the program was acquired by Childhelp, the leading nonprofit organization for preventing child abuse, which now operates under the name “Speak Up, Be Safe.” Almost 30 years after the implementation of Good-Touch/Bad-Touch, other related policies have been implemented by thousands of schools, churches, and childcare centers. To thwart potentially inappropriate contact between their staff members and children, hordes of institutions across the country and around the world have instituted “hugging policies.” Some institutions have banned hugs of all kinds to prevent perceived sexual advances by staff members toward children and to protect their legal liability. Schools in New Jersey, Florida, Arizona, and elsewhere have made hugging an offense punishable by suspension or expulsion, even for children hugging one another. https://www.cato.org/regulation/winter-2012-2013/pedophiles-regulation-hugging#the-anti-hugging-movement -
American man arrested for allegedly abusing 14-year-old Thai student

Absolutely correct and though having sex with an underage gal is a crime and the punishment can be and should be very severe. Last I heard holding hands and hugging a 14-year-old in a consensual manner is a pretty minor crime, if a crime at all. A tremendous lack of judgment yes, a horrendous mistake yes, but a crime? I am not so sure about that. Granted, it would seem that many are willing to put the guy away for life, based on very thin facts and evidence. But is that right, is that justice? Or is that just symbolic of the state of netizen outrage in 2024? -

The US is one of the most overzealous nations on earth when it comes to prosecuting underage crimes committed by US citizens, all over the world. They are completely out of control. They will throw 5 to 10 million dollars at a conviction, and unless you're a centimillionaire and can afford to spend millions of dollars on a legal team, you are going to spend 10 years in a federal penitentiary for sex with a gal 16 or under. -

Absolutely, it was truly a horrendous mistake, and no doubt the guy has learned his lesson if it was a relatively innocent mistake. I'm sure he will never do it again. Assuming there was nothing more that happened. If anything else happened I would guess that the daughter would talk about it. In this world there are varying classes of mistakes, a simpler one is to wear white in New York City after Labor Day at a formal event. A whole more serious class of mistake is for the Germans to invade Russia with the onset of winter coming, wearing buttons on their coats made of nickel, and the inability to factor in the weather. Slightly off topic, but in the vein of terrible mistakes. Rain and melting snow fell in early October, bringing with them the infamous rasputitsa, the muddy season that turned the Russian landscape into such a quagmire that vehicles sank to their axles. They had to be hauled out by teams of sweating soldiers whose boots also disappeared into the glutinous morass. Not only couldn't the combat troops advance, but neither could the supply trucks. Meanwhile, Soviet counterattack after Soviet counterattack, even if repelled, left German forces battered and exhausted. Also unpleasant were the Soviet T-34 tanks. More heavily armed and armored than their Teutonic counterparts, the Germans gasped in dismay as their anti-tanks weapons bounced off the T-34's thick hide. To make matters worse, the T-34 had wide tracks, which gave it better maneuverability in the mud. https://nationalinterest.org/blog/reboot/how-russian-winter-froze-hitler’s-nazi-empire-its-tracks-190821 -

I totally agree, my guess is that the Japanese probably have one of the lowest percentage of visitors who commit crimes. Generally speaking they're pretty straight arrows, and I've always found them to be quite respectful in their behavior, other than the fact that some of them do have some slightly peculiar sexual tendencies, but as long as it's consensual, it's all good.
