It's easier and cheaper to make a curry base mix from a recipe on YouTube .. I made a load and froze the packs, along with tomato paste and ginger and garlic. I really miss the Chinese take away curry and made a load of that too. I eat that once a week, without fail. -
@Ben Zioner @lopburi3 That's a load of old rubbish, I'm not having a word of it, everyone knows you need one of these.

I believe that's an over exaggeration, I thought it was about a ratio of 1.5-2 to 1, even that is wasteful enough. I really need a whole house RO system, our only water solution is very saline and expect problems within a year, so am interested in hearing your comment. What did you do with the waste water, you could fill tanks and use it to water the lawn? Also, could I ask the price? How about the service, were you not warned that its a very wasteful process and perhaps you wouldn't need it? (this is the issue I'm having, just dropping into random water purifier shop "yes, sir, you need a RO system - how much? and the specs? - yes, very expensive sir" - like no facts. These are the same kind of shops that have sold particle filters to locals, there's very little in the water in the way of suspended solids and extra chemicals, the problem is the salinity.

I think you need to ride a bike in the UK for 2 years and take a further test after passing the A2 test to have the entitlement to exchange your license here. I was just checking, the rules seems mad in the UK, it was much easier in the old day. Not that has any relevance to the OP, he has doobie squat, was just looking out of interest.

That’s just you! imagine how many takes it must have taken an hour before everyone had a straight face and get that picture.

No .. he can’t get a Thai bike license with this license, that’s just a basic entitlement that allows you to ride bikes up to 50cc, or a moped, however, some people might have been able to convert it to a Thai license, with a bit of luck. He needs a license with an “A” prefix - I am unsure wether he can exchange an A1 or A2 for a Thai license, but for A riders, they can ride unrestricted.

Some truly saddening pics, I guess by the fact that they are straddling the bays that they know full well what they are doing and think that this is some kind of excuse for their behavior. I am not disabled but have needed to use the parking from time to time. I try to park close to the store, leaving the bays free for people who need them more than I but if I do have to use them I'm really happy I have the opportunity to, I just need to explain to the security guard why and its never an issue, I think in the UK I would need a disabled sticker in my car. I also think that ignorant people parking in disabled bays is also an issue in the UK, its not exclusive to Thailand. One time I tried to use the bays at KK dental hospital and there was a mini van waiting for a VIP party blocking the bays, he wouldn't move even when the security guard asked him, his reply was, its for people who cant walk, this guy is too young. I was behind the wheel, so i'm confused how he could assess my needs. I don't have to use the bays at Makro as there are always bays close to the shop that are free, but I appreciate that they are secure and guarded, Big C doesnt offer any facilities.

I had a Big C dome tent, and I used it a few times, motorbike camping in Malaysia. I picked up a few bits of nature hike kit and before Covid upgraded a lot of my kit, the tent being one thing. I'm not really into the technical aspects of tents, it had some good reviews, was readily available, fitted the purpose.

I have a nature hike one I will sell you, never used.

Its big news, Sorayuth just mentioned it on the weekend news.

'Big Joke' Unveils Vision for new Police Commander position

Exactly! I cant understand the "he's earned my respect" posters - He didnt rise up through the ranks by doing a great job solving local crimes, he paid his way up, he's in the club, the people around him sponsored the franchisee to ensure they had a foot in the door. Here you go Surachet, here is your rather bulging envelope for the month, here's one for you buddy Prawit too. BJ says, that's OK, you can donate mine to starving elephant charities in Chiang Mai, Prawit says he doesn't want his either this month. I can see it now, just as I see a blue flying pig outside my window -

lol .. I look after my apple products, I have a powerbook G3 in a box somewhere. My life was pretty easy then, and still is, the 3GS was OK on LINE, keynote remote and currency converter. This is one of the reasons I want to give other things a spin, its just Apple home and CarPlay stopping me, and the other reason is, if I only use a mobile to be contactable for lazada drivers, K+ payments, LINE messenger and discord, what's the point in spending 1000$ on a phone and worry about dropping it on cement. -

Cheers. The P5 5G (Bramble) is still on the supported list. This the one I was thinking about, but this might be another reason with the price difference, I will need to check. I still might take a punt, like I say, it's more of an experiment. Im quite keen to give the OS a whirl, and its just a stop gap, when im back at my desk and not bouncing phones on the concrete then I will buy an iPhone. With regard to iPhone, my whole house is setup around the whole ecosphere, so inevitably buy another, price per month isnt really too much concern - The biggest thing stopping me from going to a privacy based android OS for a mobile phone is CarPlay, I hate android car, my navidrome streaming app is perfect for my needs, im reluctant to change - My first phone was a 3GS and the second one an iPhone 11. So cant grumble at that, the 3GS served its purpose although was unsupported towards the end. -
Are you in KKC? There is a Facebook group, its in Thai, something about tradesmen (chang) in Khon Kaen maybe ask your wife to search - You can find a few tilers in the group, they all take great pride in showing their work - there are some really nice jobs presented there, you dont have to rely upon village tilers who think lasers are tools of the devil.

I think PT has served its purpose. “They” used the situation to maneuver into a position where they could negotiate Thaksins return, mission accomplished. He’s back now and as mentioned, under the control of the establishment, let’s see how things pan out in the forthcoming months.

Cheers, I’m not too serious about it, like I mentioned, this is more of an experiment with GrapheneOS. But that is rather bad, posters in this forum are so quick to come down on apple products but a 2 year old android phone isn’t worth buying because it doesn’t receive security updates?? My iPhone 11 is from 2019 and still a good phone, it’s just hasn’t survived the construction of my house, the screen is cracked and sometimes has a life of its own, which is really embarrassing when trying to pay contractors or the building merchant. As strange as it sounds, your info might actually persuade me to take the plunge, it may explain why the Chinese phone is 5K and yet Thai sellers are still trying to get 11K, the same price as a pixel 6. With GrapheneOS, I might get a year or two udates or extended support. I will probably end up buying a new iPhone in the future, just not when it’s being dropped out my pocket on a regular basis. Cheers for the tip! -

Cloudflare is a level of security, you can’t block it. One of its use it to mitigate ddos attacks, they can be absorbed by cloudflare servers. Cloudflare is a double edge sword, they have been campaigning for web privacy and improving security for many years, at the same time they are controlling the data flow through one portal, the cloudflare portal. They can collect the data and resell it, it’s not so invasive as Google, and they are probably the good guys in all this, but it’s still a bit flakey. The ThaiVisa site went down for a few weeks in the past due to a ddos attack if I remember correctly. I proxy my home domain through cloudflare, I don’t know how much market cloudflare have, but chances are most sites you visit use cloudflare.

I’m still lost. The poster asked why doesn’t grapheneOS run on Samsung, because it’s android based. How do I know? I’m not the developer, does it really matter to the Samsung owner? The supported models don’t include any Samsung models, afaik it’s an OS for Google pixel phones. I have seen quite a lot of posts on forums of people asking similar questions and the answer is a short and sweet, No. However, looking through the docs it says that a wide range of android device can be used with the caveat “In most cases, substantial work beyond that will be needed to bring the support up to the same standards. For most devices, the hardware and firmware will prevent providing a reasonably secure device, regardless of the work put into device support.” I was hoping to hear from a Google pixel owner, regarding the price, I don’t know much about these phones - the retail in other countries for the same model is about 6000THB, but Thai retailers seem to charge a premium. -

Sorry, you lost me. GrapheneOS is a fork of android as you say and runs on google pixel phones.
