  1. I just had a denture made for two front teeth at KK Uni dental hospital - I think it was around 3000B all-in Inc x-rays, moulding and checkup. Took two weeks, from the first check up. It was a bit weird at first but hardly notice it now, may be worth a look if you want a temporary fix and then you can talk about implants or whatever while you are there.
  2. @Jingthing just catching a new series of Atlanta - still cool - finding Brassic a little tiresome, all a bit played out. Narco Saints is interesting, have Devil in Ohio to catch up with and a new series of snabba cash upcoming
  3. DLT don't care - Police dont really care - The insurance companies do, they know the rules and they have been known to refuse claims because of it.
  4. 3. They usually want a hand drawn map - doesn’t stop you making a map using Google maps and adding the gps location. Make a folder on your computer or cloud and present it every year.
  5. This movie is the highest downloaded movie of last month - I cant work it out. I was going to give it a watch one rainy day last week just to see.
  6. I’m in Khon Kaen, I sold to a Thai in Udon, so I posted in Udon/Issan/bikers fb groups for info and basically most of Udon people told me it was 100% required, guys who said no it wasn’t were ridiculed. The generals consensus of expat bikers that it was generally required. The Thai guy just wanted the bikes so he could ride one at the weekend, so I just gave him copies, completed forms, signatures and never heard from him again. Perfect for me.
  7. FWIW - I sold two bikes recently without a certificate of residence - I just copied all my passport pages, completed all the paperwork (2 pages on each bike) from DLT and sent the buyer on their way. It depends upon the area / office what they require. I think the guy said he was going to use an agent to do the transfer, if you can’t be bothered to go to immigration, might be worth a shot.
  8. https://filenetworks.blogspot.com/2011/07/3d-torrents-private-tracker-for-3d.html?m=1 Reddit seems to be a good place to post for up to date info - r/piracy -
  9. We never had a pool at our school. What our school did was encourage us to think, a skill that can’t be copied down from a blackboard.
  10. The beauty of Issan isnt in the cities, its in the country and its in the countryside people. I never felt that people in Khon Kaen City bat an eyelid - if you go to Big C during the day, you will see more westerners than Thais. If you are talking about waterfalls and value for money, then I see your point - but the towns and cities are pretty much the same depending upon size ( I think NK, Nakhon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan all have a similar small town appeal) With a bit of local knowledge there are plenty of free places to visit but you won't find them on a tuktuk or a taxi.

  12. I have been waiting for the third series of Trapped. It turns out that Entrapped is the third series, that got shown a few months back, just renamed. https://moviesr.net/p-trapped-season-3-entrapped-gets-trailer-and-release-date-on-netflix
  13. Some colleagues use a DNS service, dns4me - it’s a lot more stable than a VPN and faster, they do a 7 day free trial. https://dns4me.net - I shy away because i guess it means changing systemwide DNS. Maybe worth a ???? look.
  14. I have surfshark and Private Internet Access - PIA is an altogether better VPN - It fools the iplayer to allow access more streams. Surfshark doesnt manage to fool the iplayer to such a level, but its OK. You wouldn't notice the difference unless you went looking (it's nothing more than its faster and accesses better picture and audio quality streams) PIA has good support and a dedicated server for London streaming, in the year that I have been with PIA the server went down for a few days, the rest has been reliable - If I every have an issue with the PIA I can message some guys that use Nord VPN and they confirm wether the fault is PIA or with the BBC, it's always PIA and I just need to tinker with the settings or reconnect, however PIA is cheaper, and I already have a subscription.
  15. 500B - Do they take their teeth out?
  16. A spin off of Trapped, the Icelandic crime drama - Entrapped - Showing on Netflix now.
  17. "If you don't pay for the product, then you are the product" Free ad-blockers are free for a reason, they farm your data, your surfing habits and sell them to a third party. They probably want your email address to associate that data, put a name to a face. They have your location, your email and your behavior. Like SWW says, different folks, different strokes - for this site and many others, a pi-hole works for me. Brave might work for you, seems like a decent open source project.
  18. Back in a two weeks .. Brassic S04 - Well worth catching the first 3 series, if you haven't already. Will mentioned it a in last years thread, an easy series to binge on.
  19. So you are using a systemwide VPN? the VPN config is on the router? If you are accessing the VPN via a control app, try changing from OpenVPN to wireguard? Transport to UDP, which is usually reliable for accessing TV servers, switch to TCP, then disconnect and reconnect - if no luck, put the settings back to original and try again. There may be something restricting or blocking your connection through the ports your application is using. Changing usually clears the block.
  20. Damn, I went for a car wash the other week, there is a cafes part of the car wash and most just sit with a free bottle of water or some fried rice. I ordered a cappuccino and I saw there was a croissant in a plastic box on the counter, just like you would have in Europe. Last time I had one there it came toasted, so I asked the woman, can I have it cold, with my coffee, just put it on a napkin. 10 mins later I sent the wife up to see what was up, (im not impatient, we were the only ones there at 8.45 am) and then it appeared, Raymond Blanc must have just visited, there was a smear of fruit compote around the plate, fresh blueberries, a dusting of icing sugar and a little tray of honey, the cappuccino had like a star on the top. I wanted to strangle the woman, there's even a laid out table with a ring light in the corner for you to take pictures of the woman food. It's a f'in car wash!!
  21. another series of Bloodlands look out for a new Grand Tour in Scandinavia too.
  22. Yes, you can never share enough Linux distros.
  23. A new series of The Capture aired last night on BBC The first series was interesting, I cant remember so much about it, from 2019 - about deep fakes, some squaddie was accused of a murder he didnt commit .. ring any bells?
  24. TGx is reliable, did you use the .to ? I believe there are a few mirrors of the site - also it doesnt behave well if you are using an ad blocker. Your TV series is out there on the interewebs.
  25. And am I correct in saying you are given (free) classes, materials, and encouragement to pass the citizenship? I can just imagine that happening here. If it's anything like the teachers Thai culture course, they wouldn't even last one month. Actually, my Thai is OK, I can read / write and babble on, but I would still give up an evening or two at a local tech or rajapat college /uni if there was a government sponsored scheme that got me a certificate the same as the "living in the UK test" which I gather isn't just about language, its about history and culture too. Anyway, the answer to the OP is, no not really, up to the individual, some people get more from it than others.
