Canada free health care? Hardly. It comes out of your taxes. But the killer for these socialized medicine countries is the queuing and the delays. Need to see a GP? We can get you in in a month. Need a specialist? First see your GP in a month, then get referred to the specialist where you might get an initial consult in 6 months. Then if you need some procedure you can wait years. At least in the US, if you're insured, you can get things done relatively quickly. What they need is single payer to cover the uninsured.

How to meet genius girls in Thailand

Meanwhile, over in Italy: https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwj0x5un2YiBAxXF4zgGHaUrBEcQFnoECBEQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theguardian.com%2Fworld%2F2023%2Fjul%2F13%2Ffury-italy-school-caretaker-cleared-groping-assault-lasted-seconds&usg=AOvVaw26TS_s52JOpMvTxf1-7Wtp&opi=89978449 An Italian judge has provoked outrage after clearing a school caretaker of sexually assaulting a teenage girl because the grope lasted only “a handful of seconds”. A 17-year-old student at a school in Rome complained of being groped by the caretaker as she walked up a staircase with a friend in April 2022.

The picture you posted shows a combo box that does 2 things. First it's a power bar. Second its a usb power adapter. The power bar part is usable. Amps are what's important there, not volts. The usb power adapter is where any issues will arise. I use an anker usb power adapter rated at 110-240 v that has worked well for years. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-6-Port-Charger-PowerPort-iPhone/dp/B00P933OJC/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=anker%2Busb%2Bcharger&qid=1693528300&refresh=1&sr=8-4&th=1

Trump has already disqualified himself from White House return
gargamon replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yes. It's up to the states to individual states to block him from being on the ballot. Constitution 14.? I believe. The big question is are any states doing this and if not why not? -
It's called a super moon. Closer to the earth by about 25k miles. Causes a tide about 1 ft higher. Or maybe it's the melting polar ice caps.

Foreign Credit Card % fee
gargamon replied to zorrow's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
4% to the dealer. Plus likely 3% foreign transaction fee from your home country bank, unless you have one of the few that don't charge that fee. Are you sure you want to do that? -
How To Avoid The 'Wham Bam, Thank You' Scam
gargamon replied to Brewster67's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
My take on it is a bit different than the standard view. The Thai woman is not necessarily playing the long game. She may be just what you're looking for and genuine. Some years into the relationship, she has friends/family that see she has a rich(to them) falang and they decide they want some of it, so they start whispering in her ear about how “she“ can get all his money. Then the story reverts to the standard one and she kicks him out. Of course the “whispering“ friends/family then start working on her to get whatever they can. But we don't hear this part of the story very often although I'm sure it's quite common. -

Thousands of deep-sea octopuses gather on the flanks of a seamount off California’s coast. But until recently, scientists weren’t sure why these otherwise solitary animals were congregating. New research suggests they are seeking warmth to help their babies hatch more quickly. The Davidson Seamount’s “Octopus Garden” was discovered in 2018, when researchers onboard the Ocean Exploration Trust research vessel Nautilus were exploring a rocky spot on the seafloor that was about two miles below the surface. The team spotted a pair of octopuses through a camera on a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), says Amanda Kahn, an ecologist at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories and San Jose State University, who was on the Nautilus that day. After observing the pair for a bit, the operators started to lift the ROV off the rocks to move on—until they saw something unusual. “Up ahead of us were streams of 20 or more octopuses nestled in crevices,” Kahn says. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-hot-secret-behind-a-deep-sea-octopus-garden/

Britain now suffering from "anti White" racism ?
gargamon replied to Social Media's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Yes. Whites with the only thing going for them being the color of their skin are having a hard time. -
Actually I believe this is only the case for photo tickets. I don't know of any county that makes the vehicle owner responsible for an in person ticket.
-
Thanks. It's always good to know how things work. I guess Thailand is attempting to get closer to the first world. Would a ticket for a 1 week expired license also be charged to the owner? The cop was a bit miffed I wouldn't give him the payola.
-
That implies that the owner/renter of the vehicle is responsible for the tickets of whoever is driving the vehicle. Correct?
-
Tax/insurance for renewing your license plate? If only renting then no problem?

Horrific Accident: Trailer Collides with Motorcycle, 3 Dead
gargamon replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Clearly, if the scenario is as described, the moto driver is at fault as he (she) attempted to pass a parked truck without making sure it was clear. -
This is news? There was an incident in China maybe 10 years ago where they were taking an elevator out of service. They sent it to the lowest level and disabled it. Turns out they forgot to check and some lady was still in the elevator when they shut it down. Months later they found the body. Now that's news. Hell of a way to go.

gargamon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well one good thing is that most of them will go to the southern areas where the Muslim population is higher.
