  1. It's worldwide........not merely dependent on number of Thais gaming. During COVID tourism went down and gaming went up, massively. Decline now with tourism increasing.......but still much greater demand than pre-COVID. The contraction is from an "inflated" boom.
  2. No, driving skills are good in the Netherlands........and these sort of accidents occur every hour, every day of the year there........it's so common that they don't bother to put it into the news Venice is even worse..........sometimes as many as 10 vehicles an hour career into its canals. But then Venice is south of the Alps.......so the higher rate not really surprising. ????
  3. if you ever find yourself in a "real life" situation, where you hear the same comment that "bignok" made responded to in the way that "SuperSaiyan did, it's possible that you made find this guidance useful: 4 Ways to Tell if Someone Is Being Sarcastic
  4. The same requirement appears on the UK SETV application. I think it may be catch-all question that applies to several different visa categories. I have just got my SETV......I answered that is was "Not Required for SETV". Applied Friday, received approval following Tuesday. I suspect that the "Employer" bit is the only thing an METV applicant might be concerned about. In the days of paper applications I did a couple of METVs......including a letter from my employer (headed notepaper confirming validity) that stated that I would be returning back to work in about 6 months time. I guess they just wanted to know that I had a reason/requirement to get out of their country rather than stay there off-grid for 6 years! It is possible that none of #5 refer to an METV? ie: Employer = Employer in Thailand if applying for Work Visa. School = Thai Education Institute if applying for Ed Visa. Self-Assessment = **** knows. Pension Statement = If applying for Retirement Visa. The boxes in the E-Visa instruction manual don't match the boxes in the application. The latest requirements (July '23) on the embassy website don't match the application. Apply in good time to allow a 2nd or 3rd attempt if is screws up........that is probably the best attitude to take now that they have ****** up a system which used to be pretty much problem free.
  5. I've worked with one of them. The individual concerned was, to say the least, somewhat "troubled". No laughing matter for my employer.
  6. I expect that, sooner or later, some "travellers" will turn up and tell them that their roof needs fixing. That is a common con, in the UK, perpetrated upon elderly, vulnerable people, very few of whom, if any, will have sent their daughters away.........they, and their brothers, just cleared off when they felt like it.
  7. Get a non-fake ticket. Air Asia £33 BKK-Siem Riep last time I checked. Surely anything less than £100 is worth it if it opens the door to a 6 month stay..............less than 56p a day?
  8. What is it with the husbands that they leave that makes "low class" tradesmen a better option? Unifying characteristic of all the bitter deserted males I've known is a complete inability to acknowledge their own contribution to the collapse of their marriages. 5th page of the thread and we've come a long way from the usage of ultra processed junk sauce. That stuff really is ****........maybe it was you liking that sort of slop that tipped her over the edge?
  9. You seriously don't know where the big one was? PS Some of the small ones may have been inserted though the rectum (only up as far as the last sharp turn in the colon) but the vast majority will have gone down through the stomach.

  12. I don't have any problem understanding the reasons for the accident and accepting the findings and conclusions of the report. Issues have been identified and appropriate directives published. The manufacturer has modified the failed component. "That's all folks"
  13. These will give you an idea of what is made in Thailand: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_equipment_of_the_Royal_Thai_Army https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_equipment_of_the_Royal_Thai_Navy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_aircraft_of_the_Royal_Thai_Air_Force
  14. It looks an awful lot like a Diamond DA 42 Twinstar with the cockpit windows sprayed white (this one from Stapleford Flying Club): According to this entry 6 were delivered to RTAF in 2009: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_DA42_Twin_Star Israeli converted? ???? "Oh no.....not again"?
  15. This is nothing to do with Thais and Brits. ****heads all over the world do it........talk themselves into a beating. The severity of which is purely a matter of chance. No controversy attached to this incident whatsoever. It's what they do
  16. You would have been the perfect tourist in Germany after the Nuremburg Race Laws were passed in 1935.
  17. Never trust a PM who has to make a special visit to a market "to gain firsthand insight into the cost of living and food prices."
  18. He has to exaggerate it. His mission in life is to try make other people feel as miserable, disillusioned and hopeless as he does. He tries it with virtually every post he makes. He has a serious problem. Thank you for shining some light in the grim darkness he seeks to spread.
  19. Yes, As a child I used to enjoy a couple of them while watching "The Black and White Minstrel Show". “The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there,” "The Go-Between", E M Forster
  20. Multiple times and still alive? Sounds more like self-harm as self-medication. Especially common with Borderline Personality Disorder. Depression is often an associated symptom of a condition........rather than a thing only of itself. (That will be 75 guineas please)
